This is what I'm worried about too, this kind of thing is exactly what could cause a meltdown for someone like her and when a BPD person is under that kind of distress, they can do some pretty drastic things to themself. I love her so much but I've experienced having people close to me with BPD and they've seriously injured themselves while trying to deal with an outburst, one had come close to killing herself and other times has done shit like put her hands in a hot frying pan until the skin blistered off. I really hope this was just a suspension, a mental health episode without self harm and also not a car accident or something and she can come back either as Selen in a few weeks or under another identity. I've worked in healthcare for years. The only real thing that might suggest it was self harm is the phone thing, it's not unusual for them to take your phone when you're admitted under the mental health act in Canada because sometimes people who aren't in the right state of mind will do dumb things with said phone. That said the way she phrased it, it could be a lot of things. I'm just glad she's doing okay.

Friend, I have suffered from panic attacks for most of my life. The only time I've been in hospital because of it was the first time I had a "big" one and I thought I was having a heart attack. Even then I was out of there within a day. They do not keep you in hospital for a week for a panic attack. She's deffo injured herself somehow or had a mental breakdown.

for what it’s worth im a broke american and a couple years ago i miraculously ended up in a psych ward after a pretty bad panic attack that resulted in self harm visible enough to get me reported(dried blood everywhere and i was too out of it to clean myself up) despite lacking health care. it was the shittiest most embarrassing week of my life since for two decades now i would constantly self harm and then move on after a few days but after that i’ve been paranoid about the whole experience. i only recall a bit of suicidal ideation but i know better not to go into further details about any of this due to how it can trigger similar ideation in others hence why it’s typically not socially acceptable(which is why i think it’s silly to want her to talk in depth about it if it is, it’d be grossly irresponsible). found out a couple of these people in with me ended up in there simply for breaking their stuff and running away from safety and did zero actual self harm, so yeah i believe you can be hospitalized and even be thrown in a ward for any level of panic attack at this point. from what i understand we make for good tax exempts for them or whatever, which is why i walked out without paying anything and they even helped me get medicare or whatever this worthless insurance is called. despite all this im still happy to be able to member to and support selen for as long as i have been able to and couldn’t give a shit what put her in hospital so long as she’s safe and ok and still planning to stream for us
