Since we have some Neo-porte fans here I'll dig up some of my old analysis of Neo-porte and why it hasn't filled its shoe yet, also the chances of it doing so in 2024

>Neo Porte is essentially Shibuya Hal leveraging the structure he had created for himself already (management, accounting, legal) plus leveraging the connections he already had (FPS Box, mafumafu) and trying his hand at expanding into a proper agency.

The founders are him and Reid. They made Merise, prototype of Neo-porte. These 2 were 2 of the biggest indies pre-2020, certainly the biggest FPS ones, and they were so close that they shared accountants and other bunch of stuff. That's why the mode made sense to them.

Owners include Hal, Ojiji (Crazy Raccoon's owner), Mafumafu (Rushia's boy) and Soraru. All of these people were supposed to fulfill some kind of management role, but thus far Mmfmf and Soraru have done nothing impressive in terms of music production for Neo-porte.

Another reason for their disappointing months so far, as well as some straight up flopped debuts like Urokomi Sui, was the dying and dead Apex.

It's looking brighter than ever for Neo-porte bros, however. Mfmf and Soraru became involved with Vtubing again recently, them appearing on year end program came wiht great news. Though not specifically announced, Hal and Reid's 3D are also surely on the way.
Challenging VSPO is the next step for them.

It doesn't seem like the current crop of talent are doing anything very splashy right now. Hal himself has done a lot to garner attention through organising tournaments, but no-one else seems to have taken it upon themselves to become undeniable by engaging in something that would draw attention from outside a fairly narrow audience slice.

How did he wrangle that? That's pretty much the juiciest position to have been in. There's an obvious incentive for everyone in the server looking to incline to attach themselves to the biggest names. How did he manage to succeed there while everyone else didn't? I think in this case it isn't just numbers. Verticals might actually be reaching new people, too. That's valuable in itself, and the subs/views are a symptom of being able to introduce yourself to new people, rather than merely a metric you're sacrificing ccv for.

Source is Lua from kawaii’s latest steams. She was seeing which holos she has fan overlap with, as asmr is big for her. She has a much larger female audience that listens to her music and shit while her streams are almost entirely men. And the holos she has overlap with are nerissa, haachama, bijou, fauna, and one other I don’t remember. Last time she checked Gura was huge for her like number 1 or 2 but no recent streams. So people like mori and suisei probably don’t have as big a female audience as we think.

In which regard? If you’re talking the stupid streamer hours chart then no watch time isn’t important considering it’s heavily curated to make twitch look better. If you’re talking algorithm then yea it’s pretty important because the longer you stay on a video the more it gets promoted because yt wants you to stay on their as long as possible and it connects to impressions. You’re also more likely to see more than the standard 2-3 ads if you stay on a video longer even if it’s only a 10 minute video. Ccv isn’t important because the number is small so unless you get a huge 100k+ which is no longer much of a milestone it’s not important . It matters more for twitch because it’s built around that and most twitch streamers also post on YouTube. Like here’s an example a twitch streamers will have an advertisement on their stream but the actual sponsor, unless it’s a game stream, is saved for their yt because big twitch streamer means big youtube as well which is the actual point.

Yea then watch time is important but it’s like not relevant. If you stay on a video or stream longer than 5 minutes you’re good with the best case being like 10+ minutes (the ideal video length) which I would think most people membering to vtubers are clearing.
