I like Mococo, I think she's very cute, but she's playing it way too safe. I never found coco to be as comedically talented as say, korone, but she was always willing to prod and make fun other members and especially fans. She'd never shy away from posting a topical or controversial meme, even if it ultimately ruined her career.

Mococo's brand of humour is feign-embarrassment and heavily sanitised. That works well as a couple on a gaming livestream, but as a solo presenter you need a variety of jokes, you can't just puff up everytime and say "Huh, ruffians?" and expect it to land. If they're too afraid to make "those" sort of jokes they need to find someone in advent or the rest of EN to make their own funny segments. I think Irys and Kronii would work especially well as their brand of humour (sexpest and hot bitch) is polar opposite to fuwamoco. The powdered pero segment was pretty funny though

It's telling that 70% of the process for becoming a streamer/content creator/musician/etc. is just straight up "grind it out" and "hope you get lucky." Vtubing is no difference. When indies get snapped up by big corpos like Hololive, its not like they radically change their presentation or skillset, but all of a sudden they're pulling 10-100 times the viewership.

Even without "muh algorithm" it's just standard consumerism that people gravitate to popular things, because there must be SOMETHING good if 8k people are watching them, which reinforces that perception for the next viewer to wander in.
