Hello everyone, the dates for the upcoming Winter elite cup have been set. January 19-21, 26-28, Feb 3-4 with the group draw on the 14th. Sorry we couldnt announce this earlier the date finalization took longer than usual.
Me and the other manager agreed with how long the voting process is for the team and the fact the roster seems generally liked that if a roster plays in the very next cup after being polled that it would stay the same. There will be polling next cup no matter which cup it happens to be. We just thought this might be a good way to reduce voter fatigue. Any opinions on this idea going forward are welcome. As are any ideas on how to handle polling and anything else going forward you might want to share.

You know you're right. I think to be truthful, and it's not a good excuse, that polling always just seems to cause a lot of arguing and people actually seemed to enjoy this roster for the most part so we though doing this way could work. But you're right it's not really fair to those who were sad their favorites didnt get a rep, to the chuubas that debuted since then etc. I think I'll talk to the other manager and we'll go back to polling every cup. I know that's a pretty immediate flip flop but yeah. Probably not enough time to poll + do aes for this cup now though.

The problem with that is usually "earlier" would entail doing it during /vt/ League. The funny thing is that wouldnt have been the case this time if we had done so. I really dont want to interrupt /vt/ League time with roster polling

If you want to say that vt league and the vt team are separate then there would be no issue in doing that. Truth is that vtl watchers make up the vast majority of the 4cc vt viewers. Actually, letting the vtl watchers know when the polls will be happening wouldn't be a terrible idea in my book.

I mean it is quite obvious the overlap in viewership is very high but the main reason I dont want to do it at the same time is usually the /vt/ League threads are pretty peaceful compared to polling threads and I dont really want any anger spilling over. That and from the convos I've had with him it's pretty clear the commissioner prefers if we dont and I'd like to respect his wishes on that. I could talk to him and see if he'd be ok with it next time because truthfully a little extra time would be nice, won't promise anything on that front though.

Start a separate thread for it, it doesn't need to take place in the vtl threads. Either you are bowing to the vtl and the 4cc team should be based off of the whims of the vtl or you aren't and you need to disregard the wishes of the organizer.

I don't think that'd be too hard to do, would have to figure out how to cut down the options though since theres not really a point in having a huge list like that for just a few spots. This is basically what I'm leaning towards rn. Most people seem happy overall with the roster and want to see it get another chance. I think what could be done is just a general "are you happy with the roster/do you want to see this roster be the one for winter" vote and then limit changes depending on the result to the bench. Also see if people have any name change suggestions, which if people have now feel free to post them.

I'd also like to respond to this sentiment. I don't really get why people say this. Get me pregnant refers to the expectations and hopes people put on Shiori before debut. I was in the thread when that get me pregnant post with all the responses happened. With the posting all over the board and the art that resulted from that post I'd say it qualifies as a meme even if it wasn't one directly based on Shiori's actual personality. It's basically just the general concept of predebut hopium with a Shiori specific slant.
