I don't think the VOD exists anymore because Twitch is cancer and still doesn't save VODs or chat for more than 2 months in 2023, but the gist of it is that while thinking of nominees to write in for most dedicated fanbase, someone said chumbuds in chat and she thought it was funny so she wrote it in. She then basically said something along the lines of "chumbuds had a rough year cause Gura doesn't stream at all, but they still talk about her everywhere!" I don't think it was meant to have much negative connotation, but her chat ran with it and started saying "they'll accept anything", "they're into abandonment play", "they're cucks", "they're buck-broken", etc. to which she laughed.
Then of course, you have everyone else on twitter, /vt/, twitch and everywhere else saying the same things while proclaiming that they voted for chumbuds and that "they totally deserve the award" followed by lol, lmao, etc.
I don't think fillian ever meant it to be insulting, but everyone ran with it and just sort of used the award as a way to shit on us and Gura.

It really isn't. I've seen plenty of people go through burn out and one of the main ways people combat it is by doing things they enjoy and try to ease their way back into work. Gura has made no effort coming back for months and likely won't be back until February at the earliest, if she even comes back at that time. She hasn't even shown any signs of wanting to come back. And besides, writing a simple tweet requires next to zero effort and she has done it literally thousands of times. No amount of burnout explains why she isn't doing even the smallest, most basic amount of communication.
