why do people celebrate and endless stream of new debuts? the way people act they'd be fine with 52,938 carbon copy vtubers in the year 2023. we should celebrate quality over quantity

If it were that easy, garbage wouldn't exist. Besides, it's more for cheering for the company than the girls with corporate vtubers.

>corporate bootlicking
Yes, that's how it is in Japan.

People without an oshi still looking for "the one".

Because people don't actually like their oshis, they just want something new and shiny to move on to. Like Shien Kageyama said, you see us as some sort of gacha that needs to shit out new units so you can forget the older ones, you don't actually care.

new chuubas is just our way of coping with not being able to get the most kino streams we could possibly have due to cover cockblocking us constantly

There's more than one layer of incomprehensibility in this post.

>Already feel like I don't have enough time to watch the chuubas I like
>New ones keep pouring in

It's all so tiresome. Clipchads have it easy.

This is the problem with the vtubing fandom right now. They literally are holobronies who lap up anything cover shits out.

>>6436793
Simply put, content's watered down and sanitized to the point where everyone's hoping the next debut will be THE ONE who's a natural born entertainer.

>>6436559
I never cared beyond the entertainment value of watching and shitposting about vtubers. I did care about one. Then she got yubi'd on stream. My disappointment is palpable.

With that said, I binged watch some Hayase Sou karaoke today. You just can't replace chubas with genuinely good and unique content/personalities. I'll take mecha anison karaoke over the hundreds of other chubas covering the same generic pop songs any day. The reason the ecosystem is so gacha-esque is exactly because of that fundamental lack of eccentricity and risk taking. Interchangeable chubas with no defining niches or characteristics are by definition interchangeable and disposable.

Why should I care about someone who doesn't click with me? Why should someone who clicks with me not debut because some of the current hacks wouldn't be able to compete?
