She hadn't slept in over 24 hours because she had been watching all the others and helping them with tech stuff, so she compensated by taking caffeine pills. Cue an overcaffeinated Ame putting on her terrible (but cute) British accent and doing a Watson's Concoction segment that at the time was totally bizarre because obviously no one what she was like. Then she sang Pururin at the end and people weren't quite ready for the PURE SOVL yet. In retrospect it's not as bad as it was at the time because getting familiar with her puts all of the "cringe" stuff into context.

I was there.
It was insanely bad.
Ame was non-stop giggling, with none of the Ame charm we know.
At the time, a lot of us guessed that she was trying to be kawaii in her debut, and it failed so miserably that she reverted to her real personality as a fallback.

AND THEN, she hosted the HoloEN collab in the hour after her debut, which involved her "investigating" by asking each of the other 4 EN's deep lore questions.
Since none of them wanted to commit to lore stuff on the spot, they all dodged the questions.
It was absurdly awkward and completely avoidable.

I feel the same way. Somehow, while i really appreciate the character thematics and there being something lore wise for them to rebound off of, like Gura's atlantis nonsense, Ames time traveling (was that even in the debut char sheet?) etc. but during the debut's i just can't take that stuff, it just feels so artificial at first. I remember Ina writing she plays Apex on her sheet, but did she ever play it? It feels like a really out dated formality.

I feel like if Ame was what she is now and could go back in time and re-debut she'd intergrate all the lore stuff and such in a more engaging and play full manner than just going through a power point.

As much as I want Ame to take better care of herself, I find it hard to believe her sleep and eating habits will improve. The one thing that would make her get better sleep is if she started streaming way later than her current main timeslot, because she's a 100% night owl.
Right now as she said her life is basically staying awake until the morning, taking forever to fall asleep because of insomnia, anxiety and FOMO, getting shitty 4-5 hours of sleep and waking up 5 minutes before the stream. Then taking a nap till her next stream if she's doubling up.
I'm willing to bet she'd be happier (and healthier) if she just accepted that late night works better for her. People would adapt anyway.

I always get surprised when Ame says she hasn't been drunk before. I always imagine every adult has been drunk at least once.
