My wife is a vegan and I am an avid meat eater and we keep our diets to ourselves and not force it to the other. It's better that way, I kid you not.

I went on a date with one and she brought up diets I said while I respect her diet I don't follow it. I also said it's not feasible for the 3rd world to convert to veganism. People living in mudhuts in Africa being told they can't eat the goat them and their neighbors split each week is absurd. Tell them to eat tofurkey or impossible goat. Veganism really is a white, 1st world thing, idealistic, ideology.

Fauna isn't one of those hardcore vegans, she wouldn't mind. Eating a steak in of her every day would obviously be pushing it, but it wouldn't be hard to reach a compromise. Having some eggs/cheese and other animal products at home for yourself, and eating out when you want some meat, that's something I assume she wouldn't have any problems with.
