The monetization became mostly automated. I got my entire channel demonetized once for an entire month because I reuploaded MY OWN video that just so happened to have been reuploaded by a different person and when the shit matched together, their incompetent bots flagged my channel for "reusing/stealing someone else's content without their permission" or something like that.
