Most holo nominations will likely get thrown out. Hard to give out awards to people that don't acknowledge the broader field. Really, doing an award show for any field is hard to make work when the market leader is isolated like Cover is. It might work in Japan if it had mainstream personalities/sponsors, but definitely not the English-speaking world. This will probably be a disaster.

That's every award ceremony, including military honors and nobel prizes. Organizing a gathering event for the indie vtubing community and any corpos that deign to attend would be cool in concept, but I think something like a community highlight reel for the year would be more tasteful, especially considering most vtubers prefer an image of being non-competitive. Also Filian's really unlucky, since Loli Kami practically set off a bomb on the whole idea by going viral at an unprecedented scale and setting a ton of records, but at the same time being offensive as fuck to normalfaggy westerners, only after she'd already announced the event. Now she has to make a choice between ignoring Ui at the risk of seeming circlejerkish or inviting Ui and whatever controversy may follow.

She wants the awards show to be taken seriously so she wanted to include a bunch of JP and YT streamers in who she voted for on stream. Problem being Filian herself watches 90% flesh streamers in the big Twitch circles like OTK, and the remaining 10% are her vtuber friends. So she had no idea what she was doing for most of these options and looked to chat for help and tried to go for options that weren't on Twitch for a lot of them. All because Ironmouse is also doing her own vtuber awards show that has a very real possibility of showing her up because Mouse does have multiple connections within both Niji and Holo to get the word out further + knows significantly more vtubers than Filian does.
