Update: I mustered up the courage to go out and check what was blocking my peephole. Turns out it was just a flyer for a new KFP opening up on floor 60. The other doors in my hall had one too. Well, now I feel a bit silly but it’s good to know I wasn’t being hunted by someone after all.

That's normally where they land, there is a secret entrance to the rooftop that moves around and is usually locked. How the saplings keep finding it and getting in is beyond us, maybe the SSRB can elaborate on that since they are in charge of security.
