Project hope has been dead for a long time. But it's not gone, they labelled promise as a unit, not a gen. Officially, IRyS is still hope and the others are council. But collabs will now be promise so they don't have to tack on RyS at the end of everything and can make IRyS feel like an actual member

The silver lining is IRyS don't have to carry the weight of producing music-related results musically. She can keep making music without the banner of VSinger. Living up to Calli's standard can be too much. She had connections prior to holo, have insane workrate, and a body that can withstand the grind or maybe she's just good at managing stress.

I do wonder why they made a whole new group instead of just folding Irys into council. I suspect there might be some contractual or copyright concerns involving Sana/Irys and they want to make sure everything going forward is on a clean slate.
I don't think we will see much difference downstream either way except Irys will be included in all council merch and events so she wont miss out on things like the capes. That aside, branding IRyS and Council under a new name makes more sense from a marketing standpoint. It properly celebrates the girls becoming an official group after two years. It also wouldn't make much sense since she was a separate hire from the Council girls to begin with.
