are any of you guys actual "shipfags"? i cant imagine myself with any vtuber because im a very picky piece of shit but i like the interactions they have with other tubers (although i admit i exaggerate it in my head) and sometimes even if they DONT interact. even straight ships but i dont post about it online since i know people hate that. just curious if theres actual shippers here instead of purely unicorns

Me no but I watch VShojo and I can tell you straight up that shipping with Mouse and Connor is out of fucking control. She's gotten a pretty significant number of female viewers watching her through her association with him + females being a big driver of shipping culture between them. Most female vtubers are like sub 10% female audience but Mouse is 25%

I began shipping shit since I was elementary school. Wrote shitty fanfiction on my notebook without even knowing fanfiction is a thing. Start going to FF.net in middle school. Ironically didn't touch Youtube until I entered college.
VTuber really opened my eyes to Youtube because they're both anime and also heavily involved in shipping behavior (even if it was just an act). I have never been happier as a shipper. I watched less anime since I found VTubers.
