Many others also didn't. Pekora was the runt of Gen 3 for the first couple of months, for example, and after she got big, Flare inherited her position in Fantasy. Korone's debut is legendarily bad, but she did recover fast to be fair. In recent debuts, Lui and Iroha also didn't carve out big interest for themselves. The difference is that they had a bigger audience and the box effect that could help them get over an initial rut, while in EN the only growth we've seen so far is from Fauna and that required both Ina and Gura going on a hiatus, plus a memetic moment with the cow bikini becoming a hit, and Fauna didn't magically become more talented overnight either.

I subbed day one but didn't member her till a few months after debut. She had a really rough start and I told her as much in a proper meet and greet but I also let her know she improved a lot and that over time she became my favorite streamer and content creator.
