I don't know if it's low expectations but the "we can't be friends" was not even offensive to me. It was a specifically asked question by a bad actor, and the response was genuine, though others wanted kayfabe. I don't care as long as it isn't extremely out of character, and Fauna is basically a woman that's bad at lying so that was in character for me.

For reference, my other favorite in EN is FWMC and least favorite is Kronii, so yeah you can say there may be others in HoloEN that may have lowered expectations for kayfabe but it's not like I don't appreciate it either.
