I would not be surprised if this was the case. Multiple talents have confirmed that they were instructed by management to lean into certain character traits. For example everyone knows Suisei as a sociopath despite her having dropped that act a long time ago. She confirmed it only ever happened because management told her people like the rougher edge of her personality so she should lean into it hard. She did that for a while before saying "fuck it this isn't who I am." She actually dislikes the fact that many people still see her that way.

I'm not sure why management would have told Mori to act that way though. She's never really been "kawaii."
