In Japan, one such adventure game got released branded as a "Sound Novel" since it was mostly an atmospheric, text based horror adventure with some graphics. Leaf came along, focused more on visuals and called them Visual Novels. In Japan, these are Adventure games with just a label added like Sound novel or Visual novel. But only for ones made by those companies. Once H-scenes started being common and them starting to lose Adventure game staples, Japs started calling these eroge as a blanket term, and some of these don't even have h-scenes despite the name!
So yes, they call them adventure games, but typically use the smaller "eroge" umbrella.

The only reason they unarchive english karaoke is because english music companies will strike your channel even if you do have permission to sing it, it's fully automated. You could in theory appeal and prove you were allowed to sing it, but it's just not worth it.
Being unarchived doesn't mean "sing whatever you want, nobody is looking". It used to, a few years ago, but not anymore.

Speaking of bad translations, maybe some new anons would like to hear the story of Cross Channel. It had 3 separate translations and all 3 suck. The first one is barely qualified as an "okay" for an old fan translation. It's pretty bad, but readable. The second translation was done by a literal crazy man who believes one of the characters is the next coming of Christ and sold a separate manifesto with the translation that's over a hundred pages about it. His translation is very biased and adds a lot to it. Finally, the 3rd is literal machine translated trash and is the worst of the 3. Steam even warns you about how bad it is.

Anybody can make them. Basically there's accounts (Google =person or Brand =1+ people) and channels, and a channel is associated with 1+ accounts. Personal channels are owned only by one google account, but brand accounts can have 1 or more owners, plus other people with specific permissions (editors, writers, managers, etc). Brand account owning a channel makes it easier to transfer and other stuff, which is what I did it for, but kept it because muh security. Nowadays though that's not necessary for a personal youtube channel so they let you just transfer it to your real google account. Kept playlists, subscriptions, channel name/pic, even the @username.
