Isn't quite true, it's only just turned midnight and it's a weekend, so that combined with the fact that I had no committments for the evening meant that I had little reason to stop; it's likely I'd have stopped at exactly the same point that I did just now. Beryl's raid was just a pleasant, welcome surprise which I don't take for granted. I'm just grateful, that's all.

I'm torn on what game I wanna play next between Blasphemous 2, Baldur's Gate 3. and Armored Core 6. It seems as though people believe that collabing is networking.
In a way collabing could be considered networking but it should not only be considered the only form of networking. The internet is a vast Network and to connect the fibers of that Network to your Channel is the true form of networking that you or an agent working for you should strive to achieve.
There are many ways this can be done some of the best ways it can be done is from what I've noticed to Simply stream and Hope that people discover your Channel while you are alive that is the most simple form of networking that sometimes works and sometimes does not.
Some other forms of networking would be having your Channel included in a news article. Even having your Channel included in this thread is a form of networking.
People would probably prefer not to admit to it but chatting in other channels and in your own channel could be considered a form of networking and by networking I mean making connections from one fiber of the internet to another. one fiber of the internet to another.
Even simply viewing a channel while logged in to your account could be considered a very basic way of networking. Playing multiple games and getting multiple achievements especially rare achievements could in some form be considered networking.
Networking Works in a lot of different ways but as long as you somehow attach your channel to it then your networking think about this a net is a bunch of strings woven together so what you want to do is make the internet your net by making your Channel the fundamental centerpiece that holds all these strings together in this Grand vast net.
Collabing is a form of networking but there are many forms of networking so please don't put all your eggs in one basket believing that one single collab is going to be your ticket to success.

If you play long narrative heavy games and pay attention to the story then no. If you play games with extremely repetitive gameplay then it's fine to ditch them for new games. Also judge it by your ability to speak during the game. If you have lots of new things to say each time then keep going, if not then dump it.

Blasphemous 2 gets you the prior experience buff that'll help you get through the game without getting filtered too hard, plus your passion will shine through.
Baldur's Gate 3 has a lot of content to dig into and affords you a degree of freedom in how you play and handle things, so you can have a blast with that.
AC6 is cool, mechs are cool and you're based for even considering it. The game will probably beat your ass as you get acclimated to it, but you have a substantial amount of build diversity you can leverage to tackle any problem. Also mechs are cool. No bias here btw.

I'm a sucker for the Souls series but not enough to buy a PS5 to play Bloodborne and Demon Souls since those are literally the only 2 games I'd be buying for that console. Fuck Sony's exclusivity deal for FF16. I waited over a year for FF7R and SoP:FFO to hit PC, I can do the same for it too.
The Gothic Catholic style of Blasphemous, along with the fantastic pixel art was part of the reason I enjoyed it.
AC6 feels like I'd be playing it like Monster Hunter almost with farming lower missions to get currency for better parts, changing my build around based on what the mission calls for, right? I've been trying to avoid any direct gameplay of the games to go in as blind as possible.

Yeah, you're free to hit previous missions to farm up currency for new parts, though I haven't run into too many spots where I really felt like I absolutely had to have a specific weapon or part equipped to proceed. Other than the obvious in weapons, the thing that'll really change your experience and tactics will be your choice in leg parts, the different leg types (bipedal, reverse-joint, tetrapod and tank) offer a surprising difference in handling and maneuverability.

honestly if you want my opinion I would tell you that your gameplay in a linear Progressive Way does not matter all that much. In my opinion nobody is there for your gameplay we're all there to hang out with you the streamer and the gameplay is kind of an afterthought. Your conversation is the real bread and butter and so in that sense with that in mind it doesn't really matter if you start a new game every single stream or if you continue from a last save every single stream. What matters is that you're still you on the channel that we tune into. That there's not somebody else streaming on your account doing what you do. You could stream a different game every single stream and there's a good chance that the people who are there to support you are still going to be there to support you. You wouldn't even need to stream a game at all because the chances that your followers are followers of a certain game or even a certain save file is Slim. There's a great chance that all of your followers are there to follow you and enjoy your company. So new game old save file doesn't matter. No game at all that's fine. What matters is that for the chatters who enjoy chatting live that you are live and participating and engaging with your chat.
For the people tuning into the VOD it's important that you were there feeling dead air and keeping people's minds full and satisfied with enriching imagination inspiring content.

A guy stagnating around where he is the norm for the most part. The real question is why he would do better than the rest of the guys here.

As for why he hasn't done any better than average, probably the biggest factor is that he changed his streaming time drastically after gaining quite a few followers so a lot of that work was kind of for naught. I do think his model is holding him back a little bit but that's just my opinion, basically everyone here or anywhere else would do better with a higher quality model.

As a longtime Digby watcher I can give you a fairly good rundown of why he's stagnating

1) He's done that timeslot change, purely a consequence of his real life job changing. Unavoidable for him.
2) He doesn't advertise or clout chase. He puts on a good face but he's definitely low on confidence so he's not doing any of the clout chasing shit that streamers normally do.
3) The last point ties into a general failure on his part to do much outside of streaming. His discord is dead. His twitter is dead, no art tags or anything. He barely even talks here anymore.
4) Game choice. He's not putting a lot of thought into it outside of "I want to play this"/"I Like this game" which is great in some ways since it means he's definitely into what he's playing and you don't get those times where you can tell the streamer isn't enjoying themselves.
5) The model. I get the vibe he's going for but he has to accept that theres gonna be some thirst and you got to play to that. He's not unfortunately stuck with the name and can't dodge the catboy future that awaits him if he wants to grow.
6) He simply doesn't seem to care that much about numbers. So long as he has someone to talk to he seems happy.
7) This ties into point one. All his past networking is with American streamers so he has no one to raid into him. He needs to build a network with other European streamers.
8) Time problems. He hasn't got a lot of free time it seems to spend on stream related stuff. So his choices are basically stream or do the other stuff and he defaults to stream.

Personally I want to see Digby grow and get big. If he could fix even a few of those problems he'd probably make it. But I don't know if he can.

I debated if I wanted to do live narrated commentary over the matches or if I wanted to just leave it to the BGM and just shout in chat (per tradition established by older feds like VGCW and the more modern /hfz/). I was also nervous about how well it would handle my model and the stream at the same time after stream crashed a few days ago. I didn't really have a chance to stress test. I'll play around with some ideas. Next episode will be in about a month since we have three weeks of divegrass that I'd rather not step on coming up so plenty of time to improve and prepare.

Koopa's Chuuba Battle Tournament was commentated by her and Kongou and it was a lot of fun too so its viable.

My advice to you since you asked is this:
create a live anime theater show involving the lore of your characters.
Plan ahead of time. Look for backdrops. Look for free assets and create props. Write a loose script that can help you that can help to guide you while you are acting live. With your different characters pre-record them voice acting and then during the live show play their voice recordings with them on screen perhaps as PNG actors. Then you've got yourself alive anime theatrical show. Oh and don't forget to put together some music. The music can just be you banging on drums to what you think sounds suitable for what you think the show is going to play out to be.
If you're looking for inspiration for your stories and if you're Avatar implies who I think you are I happen to know that you are a gamer who plays immersive survival games and I would suggest you that you watch some of your gameplay footage if you're looking for inspiration for how your theatrical plays story could go.
You may want to record your process so that after it's all done you can show your fans one of those the making of type videos.

it's already a lot but if I might add if you're willing to put in a little bit of extra effort one thing that might be fun in addition to everything mentioned might be to write diverging stories and have a special audience redeem that allows the chat to vote on pitchforks in the story so when a story can Fork One Direction or a different direction you can have the devil at the crossroads moment where chat strikes a deal with you to change the Fate of the story of the play of the live anime theater show.
I'm not too sure how you address your audience during a live anime theater show so you may want to have one of your characters play as hostess to talk to the fans directly while the rest of the characters since their pre-recorded maybe at least semi oblivious of the fans.

if you keep everything 100% belonging to you and not borrow other intellectual properties during your show you might be able to sell a DVD after the show's over of the live show.
Also if you keep all of the stuff you created like the voice lines and all those things you might be able to create a I believe they call it a light novel or something there's a game that people keep trying to stream called Higurashi and you might be able to make one of those from the show afterwards if you keep all of the voice lines and voice acting and you chop it up and and place it all together.
Because people might not get the chance to explore every single possibility of the story they might want to explore the rest of the possibilities in their off time which is why they might want to play the game if you end up finding time to put a game together with some of those assets some of that stuff created for the show.
