If you think that's necessary, then it's certainly good to do, but you shouldn't think you're obligated to feel a particular way or amount, either. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why I don't respond to tragedy, crisis, and other emotional events the same as others, and tried my best to perform the emotions that I thought I was supposed to have because others did. It was mostly pointless, except it let me arrive at the conclusion that, for whatever reason, I'm just built different and get sad about different things, and in different amounts, and I feel better letting myself be that way.

It's weird, but I think this is actually for the best, since it means that some people are still operating at close to full capacity when others are taken out. It's good to have a few people like that on a team. So if that's you, don't force yourself to cry, just take advantage of the quirks of your own brain, and if you have it in you, commit to helping the people who do get hit hard in times like this.

If you look at the holos that shared similar struggles at first (mori for example) you can see how it's easier to justify a tough time if you're shitting money.
It's why the contract falling through makes the most sense. It doesn't mean Cover is a black company. But what they needed or wanted to make it work long term was something Cover was able to provide them and that's it.
