Legend difficulty in this game is like Nightmare in the original Doom and Doom 2. A joke by the devs that a lot of people took seriously.
Main mistake Lulu is making is taking it slow at times. This game favors more a speedrun way of playing; keep shooting and going forward, while also memorizing spawns of some particularly assholes enemies (like the plants).

Worst part, I know 100% she is gonna get killed by the stupid tree trunk just before the next checkpoint. It's a kaizo trick.

Can't really be sure about Arino but Aris is pretty good at 2D platformers, His true debuffs are reading and aiming which aren't required (aiming in 2D is far easier than 3D). So him beating the game by the sheer power of anger was pretty normal.

Lulu is well known for clearing games through sheer force of will, not because she's good at games, sort of like Korone. She rarely learns from her mistakes or tries different approaches on parts that stumps her for a long time. It took her almost 10 hours just to clear just stage 6 of ninja gaiden.
