In my honest opinion, I’d tell her the truth. If she’s living with you and can’t be supportive of your interests or at the very least just ignore them and do her own thing then she’s probably not the one. This sounds like you're going to make a big deal out of it, and I'd advice against that. Like >>5661139 said, it's just entertainment. I'd let it just come up as naturally as possible. It makes sense to note that you're aware there're girlfriend simulators in this particular industry, but no, those are not who you are watching. Unless of course that's exactly who you are watching, but in that case you probably wouldn't have a girl to move together with.

The situations are absoloutely common, and is absoloutely to the point. However I agree that if the situation goes from not being talked about to an ultimatum with nothing in between, yeah, that's fucked up, but we don't have the full story. Such a male perspective. From a female perspective it's not "just" an entertainer on a screen, a vtuber is an entertainer that you get to interact with and one who has idealized looks that will never, ever age. It's competition in the emotional space that she has no chance of actually being competitive in because the vtuber can provide a satisfying relationship without anything risked by the viewer. Even if women don't acknowledge this, even if they don't realize it consciously, they know it subconsciously.

My wife "likes" anime and we'll watch shows together, but she's disdainful of vtubers. But it's fine, I'm disdainful of the "Workin' Moms" shit she watches, so it all balances out.

>thanks everyone for your advice, I will take the day off tomorrow sit down and come clean. Hoping it goes well

Don't do that. If you're guilty and apologetic to your partner about watching v-tubers she'll be jealous of them and want you to stop, and she'll be right to be jealous. It's just something you like, and if it isn't then you need to make yourself treat it like that now that you've got a girl you're serious about. It's ogey for people in relationships to like things, even things made by sexy people of the opposite sex, so long as they don't take it too far and let it get in the relationship's way. Not being willing to let a partner like things they like is a red flag unless it's something that they shouldn't do in a relationship.

You definitely shouldn't try to hide it though. When she finds out it'll be worse because you tried to hide your enjoyment of other cute girls and she will (correctly) assume that you're doing something wrong.
Be open, be casual, don't make a big deal out of it and don't let her make a big deal out of it. Unless this is bait, in which case congratulations here's your (you).
