That's literally the problem, even you are aware of it.

All of these startups have the talent they lack unique style and presentation. How does one build a brand in a saturated field by looking like everyone else? The bigger budget companies can afford ads, shills, clippers etc.. , but Tsunderia, they primarily have to rely on word-of-mouth. That's why they value networking skills so much, Slugma stated that for future gens she will be seeking for talent with networking skills.

Their biggest issue is with their presentation, and for that to even change their would have to get past a a couple of hurdles. First hurdle is PPP himself, one of his major goals for the company is achieving 'Hololive-quality'. The second biggest hurdle is Slugma, she hates marketing and sales. Third hurdle is allowing new talents to chose both their default avatars concept and design.

Char doesn't stream much anymore, but she used to be one of the most respected EN chuubas in the whole community. Her SSBU and Putt-Putt streams still hold up. The Gunpla building streams can pull 100-200 viewers, but she was getting around 400 consistently when she was streaming games regularly.
Purin was never consistent because her home life is actual hell. Her concurrents have fallen off hard because of that, even though her recent streams like Dead Space and BotW are some of her best. I hope she's able to make a good schedule and keep to it for a while to some algorithm love. If more NA viewers see her streaming on their time instead of PH time, she could be a huge star. She's also got a couple big-time whales in every stream, so that helps a bit

Regardless of what it actually ends up looking like in motion, I think the initial gut reaction to the design is largely negative and that is a huge debuff.
I'm sure fans will get used to it, but a lot of people (newcomers) are going to see her face and think "wow that's ugly" and not even give her a fair chance.

The promotion timing on Tsunderia's part has been really strange. They teased Re/Verse two weeks ago with the girls tweeting on the corporate account and then dropped the Orla game the day after. All that only to go radio silent during the time period that saw Prism and Phase Connect debuting their Vtubers, letting Re/Verse basically fade away in the public consciousness. And NOW they post an official reveal that is an entire month early? The exact same thing is going to happen again in July with Cyberlive, MyHolo TV and a bunch of other smaller agencies getting their new gens out and nobody is going to care about Re/Verse by the time they debut. Re/verse was put together on relatively short notice when it came to light that both Kana and Ria were graduating towards the beginning of the year, and management realised they were going to be down two talents for the foreseeable future.
With what was originally planned to be Gen 2 being a ways off, they made the decision to produce a smaller generation in the meantime to at least bring the number of talents back up to what they were when Tsunquest first debuted (Miori joining the company was a happy accident). This is why there were no auditions, why there are only two talents this time, and why Gen 3 (formerly Gen 2) auditions are starting up before Re/verse has even debuted.

You're ignoring the fundamental difference between Kiara's and Orla's starting points anon. Not even huke's autism was going to dissuade the legion of fans that will unconditionally support the Hololive name because of the goodwill the JP side had built up by the time EN debuted. design 9/10 - love the head, skirt, back, sleeves, chair, skelly. The bodice/chest looks too flat even though she clearly is busty. I think it's because of the middle black rectangle, it's too straight and broad whereas it should get pinched more in the middle to fit around her boobs and add to the 3D effect.

model 6/10 - the straight front view exacerbates the chest issue and the gloved arms tucked in front get lost in the black color of the rest of the outfit so that she looks like an armless torso. If she has a standing pose with her arms out then it migtht work better.
