It depends on the audience you have. If hardly anyone watches your videos anyway, then it wouldn't hurt to experiment to see what sticks. But if you have large audience who expects to see X from you and you post Y, they might not take it well. Imagine if Filthy Frank started uploading his Joji music on the same channel. It probably wouldn't have gone well. It really just depends on the kind of brand that you're trying to sell.

Because what you enjoy is often not good stream content. Keep in mind that these guides aren't gospel. RTS games outside of competition level are terrible stream content but chuubas like Clio hame made partner playing them along with similarly cursed grand strat games.

Buff content and debuff content is a spook. The only thing that matters is where your viewers find you and if you can be entertaining to attract and retain them.

Hear me out: Vtubers song writing and creative works guild.
Vtubers could have a guild with different tiers of challenges for different tiers of adventururs. Sort of like the guild in the anime Overlord. Vtubers make a request that asks for a copper plate tier adventurer or higher. If the request is more difficult a silver plate or higher. If the quest is more difficult a gold plate, or higher. If the quest is more difficult a adamantine plate, or higher.
That way people won't accept your request if its below their capabilities to save the guild embarrassment.

Do any of the video editing softwares commonly mentioned here allow you to save custom presets for things like image sizing and text properties? Like if I wanted to have an image be auto resized to specific dimensions when I add it to the timeline without manually changing each one each time, or have text automatically use a specific font and size. As far as I can tell, there's no way to do it in Vegas or it's heavily obfuscated (like most things in Vegas).

Is there a guide on audio out levels? Might just me being autistic but the different ways to adjust output audio gets me all confused.
Like, the interface has it's own volume out dial, and then windows has it's own volume levels for the interface.
When I do a test recording the mic gain sounds low on the playback, but the capture in obs follows the standard that people use (peak at -10 and all that), and people say it's fine on stream.
So, how do you guys set your audio out levels?

Honestly, is it better to try to join a corporation or is being an indie and trying for /lig/ger status better? I feel like a lot of corporations have worse art and rigging than many indies, so that makes me want to just be indie (maximum quality control), but corporations can help you do things like releasing cover songs, release merch, etc. You can also do these things as an indie but it can be more expensive and harder, of course. I'm just going over my content goals right now and I feel like if I were to try to be in a corporation it would be vastly different than being indie.

Generally, /lig/ger > corpo except Holo.
Cover songs under a corpo is a lot more trouble than you think. It's very common for corpo vtubers to have had their cover plans cancelled because muh management.
The EN corpo scene is in this weird spot where they are extremely selective, but if you objectively qualify for one, you probably don't need to join a corpo in the first place. And many big indies know this.
The only exception is Holo, where you are pretty much guaranteed a boost with a competent management team on top.

surprisingly enough this one was the one I put the least amount of time into, i literally recorded it hours before the deadline. I didn't have access to most of my stuff and only learned about the auditions very late but i think the limitations made me not overthink my audition too much and I just tried my best to show myself completely authentically, not playing some character. What’s your budget and area of streaming like?

Condenser mics are typically cheap and good for ASMR (so many blue yetis) BUT keep in mind they are super sensitive and can pick up a lot of noise. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are surrounded by a lot of noise.

Dynamic mics can also be cheap and are really solid (many of them are super old because of how damn reliable they are) but most use a xlr cable and you’d need an audio interface which will cost you more.

As an extra essay paragraph: If anyone is interested in streaming/content creation, I would highly recommend nailing down audio first. Personally I care more about audio than the way a model looks or moves (how it’s rigged)

I’ve mainly warmed up to the idea more in the past year or so as I saw more and more smaller corpos pop up. I had a running gig with a small corpo in my first year of being indie till I dropped the plate on that one. Pretty black company anyway so no harm no foul.
Since then, the content I produce I realize is difficult to create with one person. Other VTubers, especially those with a larger backing or a corpo, have many resources available to them that I don’t have when I treat my 1view chuubing like a hobby. Probably the most important thing would be a good cpu and good cooling for said cpu. I run a ryzen 7 3700X which is 2 years old at this point and streaming uses like 2% of my CPU, you'll be fine with any CPU that has been manufactured in the last 5 years.

Depending on what you do with vtubing you might actually need a GPU even with those low -spec games. XRanimator eats like 60% of my 2060 and even things like BG3 (which is a new game but not really intensive maxes it out. Hell even a remake like live-a-live used all of my GPU to the point of lagging my model. More importantly it would be good to ask what specs anon has in the first place.

the preset feature for Event FX and Text generators do what you want. type a name, save it and use the preset for your next object and it should work. The presets also work for video fx and everything else pretty much.

What I like to do is have a "dummy" event or even a "dummy" project that has things already like a basic subtitle text box where i only have to replace the text. presets are saved globally though and you can re-use them between projects.

I like the intent and the look overall but there's a few things that stick out to me.

1) I probably wouldn't recognize you without expanding the image. At a distance or at thumbnail size the model just kinda looks like a vaguely purple mass. The details are all fine lacy things so those will blur at a distance as well as the feathery hair.

2) I assume that you're intending this for L2D so that hair is going to be absolutely nightmarish to layer and animate.

3) The dark colors are good, but they're unfortunately all just different versions of the same color, which means you end up with the viewer's eyes just smudging them together.
