Any likelihood we will get more chuubas make the jump considering the lack of PayPal support was a big killer? Twitch is way too oversaturated to get success.
Not shilling for Kick by the way. I'm more curious to see if it can be a viable platform for chuubas and maybe down the line a Kick-exclusive company could happen.

I thought everyone on twitch used streamlabs/bits because of how many streamers were getting raped with chargeback fines from troll donations, did people really want paypal that badly?

You can get donators charging you back and you have to pay a fee, so you can stream and have to pay money if someone wants to mess with you.

PayPal can randomly just decide to lock your account and you can't do shit against it, they also ban people who make "problematic content". Lots of /uoh/ chuubas have had to deal with that.

Paypal is an unregulated financial institution that has somehow managed to avoid the legal requirements of banks since it was founded

It can and has fucked over many people who thought they were smarter than you, and those people have no recourse because "it isn't a bank"

Only way I see Kick being viable is that

1: Content creators actually make content and not horny bait

2: The Vtuber selection on Kick stays below 300 streamers with the Vtuber tag

3: A closer knit community with channel restricted yet many custom Emotes + Gifs which can't be used on other streamer channels. Only the one you subbed on.

4: Kick implements their Content Creator Program to those they believe are a good brand with their content and niche that attracts a stable traffic onto their website.

That is all. For the most part Kick is very very underwhelming with lack of a API to customize your streams with no way for viewers to actually *interact* aside from a KickBot to say hurray for Subscribing! It is a very very straight forward version of Trovo that doesn't have all that *Gamba Spam* that Trovo pushes on all its streamers.

>> No.56142721

Mate, Kick is dead as soon as all those contracts expire. A much bigger company did the same exact thing not that long ago and failed monumentally.

Kick payout is either Same Day Etherium or Bitcoin. Processed $ is 2 Weeks after subscription for Stripe processing. Namely Stripe takes 5%. Streamers get the rest of the 95% of the Sub. So namely per 1 sub its $4.45 on average or so. Until Kick implements a Ad system which would passively garner revenue across VoDs and Live Stream at a higher rate than Twitch offers for most of its affiliates.

Doesn't matter if the site dies or stays alive.
You can Simult-cast on Kick with Rumble - Tiktok - Trovo - Youtube - Embed on custom website and pretty much get your streams out there to more eyeballs then relying on Twitch shitty discovery system and their shitty ass *Twitch Only* streams. Its all about having multiple buckets. Not one and done.

Stripe = Federally insured. Whatever happens with money that is on that account is insured by the Federal Government and FTC.

Paypal = Non-regulated Money Bank system that isn't insured by the FTC and Federal Government. Whatever money you lose from loss of access to the account, chargebacks or frozen account. The FTC/FG WILL not help you with that issue. Also, Paypal customer service is attrocious for content creators, even if you follow the whole *Tip VS Donation* issue. The Chargebacks are often for *Item purchases* and the troll will try whatever it takes to make it so that you give them back the money + more out of your wallet because of such.

Compared to a wider net you would be having if you used the Sora Yuki Multi-RTMP OBS plug-in it pales in comparison. You have to mind that the traffic from multiple streams coming from one source would drive up much more interest into your content than it would be on Twitch which is either Call-2-Arms from external Social media websites X + Discord + Tiktok or other people talking about your streamings and bringing other people along.

Honestly Twitch can die for all I care. They don't care about their affiliates at all.

I'm getting flashbacks to Blip.TV - big promises of creator freedom and revenue over YouTube, but only ever hosted the Nostalgia Critic, then got bought out and died.

Alright, say if you the viewer were to subscribe onto a Twitch Streamer.
The cut is usually 70+% to Twitch and 25% to Streamer. Twitch makes about over $3.50 per subscription tier 1. Streamer makes about $1.50, Depending on other factors and how active your community is. The rate is changed depending on region and traffic and if you allow that horrible 3 Min ads for 55% cut that they promote.

Obviously, using Stripe as a Processor instead of Kick makes it so that Kick doesn't do all that nasty work of regulation and shit. Stripe does all of that.
The only boon Twitch has for its emotes from subscriptions and bits is that they can be used elsewhere as long as you are subscribed.

Anyways. I'm outsies. Do what you will. Stream on whatever platform you feel most comfy with. Remember, Twitch Retricts. Youtube/Kick/Trovo/Rumble/Tiktok/X/embedding on Custom websites all allow restreaming.

Hop to it.
