For me its the engagement factor, when I watch streamers I tend to do it to relax chill out and just unwind and listen to them. Its not "fun" but its nice. But Holofightz and by extension watchalongs with Holos using cytube are engaging since im usually involved with the community interactions and enjoying injokes and the like so its a more fun experience than relaxing one I find when watching the girls.

I think there's a few many variants of "recolored naked dude" in there.
Off the top of my head, we have haatons, takodachi, rosetai, chumbuds, SSRB - and to a lesser extent 35P, nekkos, bloop, risuners, matsurisu, omaruza, kenzoku etc.

I understand that it can be difficult to pull off established mascots since their designs are a lot more simple, but maybe consider using a wider variety of body types - lots of the previously mentioned wrestlers have fairly mid-range physiques. It'd be fun to see some more extreme body types, like Okayu / Mukirose.
The latter ones that have custom heads and accessories also work better in general imo.

Additional support for you anon, 2 weeks ago I knew nothing about editing. 1 week ago I finished my TONIGHT promo. Today, I managed to finish my 3rd promo and have a shit ton of new techniques under my belt.

As long as you have a clear and concise plan of your promo's theme/direction, editing will not be the difficult part. Being creative and thinking something new to differentiate yourself is the difficult part but I believe in you anon.

As for modern WWE the only character I'm actually interest in is Bray Wyatt because how am I supposed to pretend I care about the 100th random muscly dude with a big attitude when there's a literal demon clown that character assassinates people, please vince book more firefly funhouse matches the John Cena match was the single best thing to happen in WWE in the last decade.

I agree with most of the other anons that WWE isn't that good though. If they keep treating Bray the way they are now I might just stop watching. I mostly watch Lucha Underground because the matches have more flashy moves, and the characters are just way more interesting.

I used Hitfilm Express for my first promo and then decided to upgrade to pirating Adobe Premiere for later promos and pirating Photoshop for asset making.

I'd say Hitfilm is fine to test the waters of video editing since it's free but it's definitely more limited than Premiere.
