You know Mori’s talked about how she’d like the rap in 6FU to be melodic. However assuming she’s talking about the ultra fast Rap God section, I think the musicality of the track breaking down at that specific part with the subject matter of the lyrics fits quite well artistically even if it’s not traditionally “nice” music. Though I think it’s a very grounded and realist place to be in artistically for Mori, juggling the artistic merits of your work with the fact it’s a commercial product as well. It may seem like an off comparison, but it reminds me of Miyazaki talking about how animation is primarily for children, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try something interesting just because everyone else isn’t interested.
