people keep telling me they enjoy my streams but i need to advertise more, i have no idea how to do that. i've been thinking about this for 2 weeks. my twitter is dead, my youtube is dead, no matter what i upload nobody sees it and it kinda sucks. i guess the best thing you can do is upload every single day until you are sick and tired of it in hopes to get the random algorithm boon and even then there's thousand of streamers who do this and still stream to 0 viewers after years. organic networking doesn't really work anymore because my content isn't revolved around a game or a hobby and i was never part of any community in the first place.

this all said I'll gladly watch any of those (or a PNG, in fact some of my favorite chuubas are pngtubers) as long as you're actually entertaining. a good model can get people in the front door but unless they're just there to jerk off, it won't be enough to keep them in once they realize you're not actually a good streamer.

Model has to be nice because during pauses in action, like loading screens or reading, my eyes always gravitate to the model because I am a lizard which is attracted to movement. If your model isn’t appealing to watch, I’ll get bored. I think people place way too much importance on the static look of the image and not enough to have interesting eye candy motion. Big bouncing boobies being the most common example.

I agree that people don't think about the motion of the model enough. It's why I prefer 3d vtuber models over 2d, since you can get much more impressive mouth movements, and the physics on other bits and bobs is more natural too. There are some vtubers I've watched just so I can see their mouths flap along with their words. But a large part of this is probably just because I do both 2d and 3d art myself so I get caught up in the small details that most people won't notice or care about.

Assuming that you mean Mori Calliope, she has both Live2D and 3D models, all Hololive members have at least a Live2D model. I don't watch Shondo so I can't speak on what she has. Gura(?) has 2D and 3D, Fauna has 2D and 3D. You can just go to their YouTube channels and find the 3D streams to compare to their usual Live2D models

Because the lines get blurred. No matter how you get an image on the screen it's all about perspective and generating visual cues. If it's 2D then it's more likely to have weird parallax effects around the face and the hair pieces. If the model is always forwards facing then it's more difficult to tell, but doing side profile in 3D doesn't look right without warping the model, which is also the power of 3D being able to turn around.

All of them use 2d. Just look into their old/debut streams, they're all 100% 2D. The only one that I think uses 3d more regularly is miko unless something changed because it's been about a year since I actually last watched a holo.
Their 2D models are usually cuter because anime really doesn't translate well into 3d, so that's why they don't use it as often.

So what sets you apart from everyone else, everyone else who’s just as talented as you and has networked as much as you? I typically try for 4 days a week. I just took a short break last week to take care of some things I had been putting off of. I wish I could stream 4-6 hours but i usually get off work late so i dont have alot of time to stream on Weekdays. I do get to stream those hours on Sundays though so maybe I should try to push even further on Sundays. Start earlier and end later to get to 8 hours on Sundays.

The text in your twitter banner is too...metaphorically heavy. You put a cowboy hat on your severed head, so I'm guessing you could probably come up with more lighthearted and fun for a banner?

Pin your schedule so it's the first thing people see on your twitter.

Twitter posts should never just be one way communication with your audience - engagement is key! ask open questions when you post to farm engagement. It might feel cheesy, but everyone likes to share their opinion. ex: your post about coffee - you could have asked 'how do you like your coffee?' or 'i enjoy hazelnut creamer - what flavor do you like?'

Yeah I need to be better about making clips/highlights. I think I should avoid trying to "force" clipable moments and just let them come out organically. That's not to say I can't try to be more engaged with the games, just try to avoid forcing moments that weren't funny to be funny.

I'm very horrible at describing myself. I'll need to sit down and really think how I want people to perceive me when they read my bio's, not just on Twitch, but on Twitter and Youtube as well.

If you've been going close to a year and haven't hit affiliate you're probably not doing anything that results in viewers or viewer retention. By that I don't mean "streaming at random hours" or "having a twitter account. Nobody can see you if they don't know you exist, and knowing you exist won't go far if they aren't given a reason to watch you. Consider what it is you're telling somebody when they look at your channel or look at your twitter. Does what they see tell them "you should watch this guy's channel"? If not, that's where you're falling off. If you're already doing that, and it doesn't seem you are, the next step is getting eyes on your things. Twitter trends, game hashtags, events, generally just making friends all go a long way to that. There's one crab here really mad about them, but an ad here is only about $20 bucks, but that's much further down the road.

2) Goalhorns that play when a player on our team scores a goal (a generic one and special ones for players likely to score, so that's likely Lord of the Board, We're All Gonna Make It, and maybe PNGtuber)
3) "Chants" (funny audio clips under 2 minutes that are played to cover up slower parts of the match and 'hype up' the players to score)

You know this anon is not wrong. I love my boys, but you really cannot simply play the same game that a million other streamers have already played, that everyone has already seen played a dozen times, and just talk over them, and expect an audience.

You need to actually do something dynamic, something that shows off your personality. Play a game that lets you shitpost in it, a game thats easy to react to. Maybe don't even do a game, do an art stream, or set up some other kind of gimmick stream where people can not only be engaged at the new content, but also lets them see you for who you are, your unique quirks and how you react to things.

This also has nothing to do with whats between your legs. Popular vtubers can just sit in front of a game and play it for hours because they're in a corpo/group which automatically supplies an audience. You're on your own, you don't have that lifeboat. You need to survive entirely on your own personality, so you better damn show it instead of just being another generic video game streamer.
