Japanese vtubers spend years practicing for a single stream and do their reps up to million times to produce the finest entertainment known to mankind.
Japanese chuubas are thrice as entertaining as English ones and thrice as funny for that matter too. Anything an EN can stream, a JP can stream better. I'm pretty sure a JP holo could easily mog EN thrice their sub count with a simple gaming stream.
Ever wonder why Gura never bothered conquering collabing with a JP? That's right, she was too scared to be put next the disciplined JP-senpai and their superior Japanese entertainment. Even in the beginnings of /vt/, orangeposters targeted mainly JP holos because their audience captivation power was feared and respected.

Ina: People that don't like her probably don't like half of jp because there are a lot of "low energy" between them, so they are probably a "cute X noises" or a clipper.
Calli: She is a wigger and sometimes she can be very cringey, still her unarchived karaokes are a blast. Most of the hate is because of the cringe.
Gura: She grew bigger than it was expected, not having kouhais to prank in maicra is a big debuff, she is going to be an "Aqua" in maicra when EN server gets more population. Her fans are probably her worst debuff.
Ame: Very bad choice of games is probably her worst debuff, her first interactions with her fanbase were twitch level, she has very good stream ideas, but those 2 things make her look bad, she's at her best in events like the thanksgiving one.
Kiara: Well what can I say, she's probably my less favorite holo, so I'm very biased to say that her streams are probably the biggest mess in all hololive, her karaokes are meh, her zatsudans are a mess, her gameplay is bad. Kiara's very polarising, but I can give you a bit of advice as some one who did actually grow to like her upon watching her: (most) of her gameplay videos aren't where its at. The real meat of her channel isn't in gameplays or Karaokes, its her talk streams and superchat readings. She has incredibly good interactions with chat and other Holomembers, and her infamous tangents are incredibly enjoyable just to listen to.
