I was really looking forward to her first 1-on-1 (or 2-on-1 for FuwaMoco) collab with each of advent because that is where Kiara is best and where she can really make them shine. Now instead her first collab with all of them will be an absolute clusterfuck riddled by technical problems which will not only make all of them look worse but also kill all interest in future collabs.
Sometimes I think Kiara finally knows what she is good at and then she does something idiotic like that.

In her defense, I feel like this middle part of GTA4 is just a bit too directionless in pacing. The beginning part is ok, you're introduced to the pivotal characters and have some sort of overarching goal established, but now we're kinda in an awkward lull period where they just thrown random plot threads at you and it's not clear what is important and what is just side-stuff, so you just feel like you're just going around in circles doing random missions with no development.

It's hard not to get mentally checked out and eyes glazed over when the third, fourth or fifth new guy / gangster cliche / crooked cop is introduced to you and does the very same "I have a job for you, this guy owes me money, kill him" mission plot to you that you've already seen a dozen times already before, it all kinda blends and blurs together and feels meaningless because there's no development from it yet (besides after two or three missions you're introduced to ANOTHER new questgiver who now has problems with your old questgiver and wants you to kill them instead lol).

She still has fun with the game overall, as she vibes with the driving and shooting gameplay and cares for SOME of the characters, but yeah the "story" pacing in the middle kinda drags plus none of the new characters that were introduced lately are charming or wacky enough to be really memorable. So it's no wonder Kiara pays less attention, because the game isn't giving her enough to work with narratively yet. Mind you, this was also kinda the case with Yakuza. While she was clearly invested in some parts (like said, the Ichiban arc or Majima's development), there were also other parts where she was much less engaged, for example when Yakuza did yet another Yakuza-ism and had another 30 minute cutscene of just old gangster bosses sitting around talking in cryptic self-important tones about some political intrigue bullshit, that's when she mentally checks out and uh-hu-naruhodon't. No need to get all Nierfag about it

I don't really understand the point of inviting Advent to Holotalk (besides Kiara wanting to hype). They all just debuted, they've all had Q&A streams, they've already answered all the questions viewers wanted to ask them. Listening back to some of what Kiara said about FFXVI, her motivations to play it in the first place seem dubious. She doesn't seem all that much excited/interested in the game itself and rather said "well, we waited sooo long to finally get Squenix perms, and now that they're here I feel like I gotta use them or else it'd just be a waste...", making it feel more like a chore or obligation. She never played an (offline) FF game before, which is curious for such a self-described "big jrpg gamer" but that's another story, so why start with this one instead of the much more beloved classics that actually made the franchise famous in the first place instead of the new ones that only lowered the franchises' reputation? Well yeah, besides her muh retro graphics autism. She even admitted that trying to cash in on some of its recent release hype was part of her thought process, but also acknowledged she already missed the boat on that because of her travels, so it feels there's nothing really left motivating her when she talks about playing the game besides just some vague unexcited "ugh, I guess I have to, because I promised..."

I don't even really hate the game, it has some hype moments (unfortunately buried between hours of boring fetchquest tedium, but that's jrpgs for 'ya), and she probably won't struggle with it as its difficulty can be set to piss-easy, but the story can be a bit of a drag with its clumsy expository dialogue density and not enough cute or wacky sidestuff to keep her engaged. So it's probably just going to be an average playthrough, maybe not "thank-god-its-over" FE tier, but not really memorable either, and the time could be much better spent on other games she'd clearly enjoy more (hell, even other FF games), I'd even take, may Allah forgive me, another Zelda instead...

She seems to get along really well with Advent behind the scenes already, sure she talks with some more than others but at least she talked with all of them - which is already an improvement over Council where Wawa has acknowledged regrets that she didn't really connect with them enough at the start. So it's natural that she's excited and wants to do something asap with her new kohais.

Sure, it's questionable if Holotalk is really the best first avenue for that, but it has been used for other stuff besides its "original purpose" ("introducing JP talents to the EN audience") so often by now that it's basically just Kiara's window dressing format for when she wants to have a zatsu collab without calling it a zatsu collab (because see above).
I would have preferred smaller one or two people collabs first, those are always better because you can focus and engage more with the person you're talking with instead of getting lost in the group, but who knows maybe she actually even has some group activities planned, or just didn't want to show "favoritism". And yeah, no bets on if there will be a delay because Cover's app shits the bed again trying to render six models at once, the question is only how long the delay will be before they give up and switch to static pngs instead.

I see your point. I like her action RPG playthroughs too for the same reason that she doesn't have much time to look at chat. It creates a better balance of her doing things herself and asking tips sometimes.

It's not completely a pet peeve for me since I can see that for some viewers they feel satisfaction when they feel helpful to Kiara. It just gets a bit too much sometimes. Especially when she skims or skips thru tutorials and just let chat teach her.
