I think it depends on whether the person with the archers is doing any micro or not. The barest minimum of kiting makes a huge difference between melted archers and melted wolves.

But then the same is true for other units. Dragons are supposed to be pretty good against archers, but you have to micro them and do hit-and-run to avoid actually getting pin-cushioned.

It's not a problem for me or anything but people seemed not to really like splitting things up before when we had the separate radio room so I'm not sure if having a permanent room for littlewargame is much better either, especially if you plan to use it to arrange matches and stuff which people will then miss if they're not keeping up on both.

Personally I don't think putting it up in the main room is an issue, but if you really don't want to you could always just use an unregistered channel like https://stream.rabbalabs.com/r/littlewargame and maybe I'll make a permanent one later if it's something people actually want

You can make temporary rooms, I removed the ability to make permanent ones from normal users originally because I didn't want randoms to come set up on ours when the official cy wasn't working, but I've still kept it off just to avoid splitting the community idk, maybe I could turn it on if people have a good reason for it but hasn't been so far

i feel like these things have an expiration date where first it's fun to try and explore but getting deeper into it it starts becoming more optimized and more meta and stale
like that one champy was saying, don't know if jokingly, but that he was watching videos of build orders etc. of the base game but that's an unfortunate way to shorten it's lifespan on how long it'll stay fresh

when i got into chess long ago it was fun exploring and doing stupid shit and not understanding much and just improving by trying but then before you get filtered by talent there's the boring memorization and studying part. So these things curve between indresding->nodreally->indresding with the last stage of indresding is only for select few who live and breathe that thing and start thinking intuitively and creatively again

One time in college I played Starcraft against a Korean guy. I knew I was fucked the second I asked him if he needed a CD key and he said

Anyway he went for mutalisk rush and I didn't know how the fuck to play Starcraft against real people but I did a sneaky google search and someone said medics and marines so I spammed like my life depended on it. The match ended up taking like 45 minutes, which was so much longer than any of his build orders he ended up not knowing what to do.

I forgot where I was going with this, there's no moral of the story, and I still lose the game, but I'm proud of my little medic marine forces for holding out for so long against the Korean menace.

Yeah, I find with games to play in these kinds of settings there's kind of a sweet spot in general anyway where you don't really want anybody to get TOO good at it or they just start crushing everyone and ruin the fun. (See: Tetris) It works best when everyone is at a fairly casual level

i rember warcraft had a handicap system so you can make their units have less hp. another good way to balance is to do it like dota by having various roles and heroes the worse players can be useful at while the strong guys don't choose the strongest heroes or roles etc

yeah the gyros pathing was so fucked, i even saw them flying over trees, i watched in amusement while i was afk, i panicked towards the end when i realized most of my build was against ground unit and i didn't have nearly enough to take out the gyros, but once i got a few of those blue towers up it seemed to make a big difference

oh i wanted to add i dont think those rapid cannon towers are any good. they can hit air but i think that destroyers are better vs ground than rapid cannon is good vs air, so just make more destroyers (not that you built any rapid cannons just saiyan)

That's how we used to balance lopsided dota inhouse matches, that the higher mmr players aren't allowed on their main heroes or maybe even in their usual roles.
I'm a high rank support player but one time I was put in mid Shadow Fiend and it was like support players' revenge fantasy where I absolutely stomped and the whole game revolved around ME ME ME, AHAHA.

I'm glad you've been liking some of the recently generated images, the model is pretty great fit for Gigigins. There's also so much more that I don't end up posting because of minor bad details even if the overall composition and theme looks good in my opinion. The few "nice hands xd" type replies pointing something out do annoy me a bit since usually I'm aware of it and especially if I've spent a fair amount of time trying to fix it. I'm just a hobbyist and SD is fickle, can't always get poifect.

"under covers" prompt was finicky, she's either barely under the covers like here or the covers are just floating everywhere. Good at generating some champy-like creatures though.

completed the td again. the start was rocky but when the build got online it was easy. i spent the last 10 minutes just building palms because i didn't need anything else.
- only used 3 tower types, destroyer for dps, heavy cannon and ice wizard for control. destroyer is just good against everything and i figured out why heavy canon is better than lightning - it stuns in an aoe. ice wizard also has a huge aoe slow at last upgrade
- it is very important to get to last upgrade not leave stuff at lvl 1. it seems worth for every single tower.
- since lightning is single target if used they're probably best in the back to finish leaks and resilient mobs.
- i did the income upgrade before palms and i have mixed feelings about it. feels like it has diminishing returns so it's probably best to mix palms and upgrading that. i did end up maxing it out tho. maybe get it to lvl 10 (about 30 is max) then get some palms.

maybe next time i'll challenge myself to not build destroyers because yeah they just dps everything well, wizards included.
