What happened to Polka? At the start it looked like she'd be the shining star of Gen 5. She was energetic, had good streams and had a lot of interesting gimmicks like using her rubber chicken. Then she faded into the background and only really seems to follow Flare around in Minecraft.

She knows what it is like to be at a real black company where underhanded shady shit by management is the norm. With Cover on the other hand they will upfront tell you what the new rules are, what restrictions are currently in place and what game permissions you have but otherwise let you stream how you want within reason. The difference in professionalism is night and day. -She has Legend of Polka. Though I must admit that their last 2 episodes were not that funny.
-She and Gen5 has been on promotion a lot lately like Xbox pass and Family Mart
-She's also a regular in Hololive's NND Bonjour.
-She does stream a but in irregular fashion. It's funny that she plays alot offline but doesn't seem to bother to stream them like MHR, Uma Musume or even MC. You would sometimes see her just clip some moments that she thought was interesting.
-She drops covers without fanfare. She has 7 mvs now including 1 original song. For reference, Aqua has 10. Mori has 11. But Mori nor Aqua has a running series or is part of bonjour. Tldr, Polka simply is being utilized in a lot of places by Hololive.
-Once she's settled in her new place, doesn't have any teeth problems, maybe then you will see more gaming streams from her.

My wish list: I want her to show up the in the Holo Gaming show and I hope she tries out an interesting rpg again.

So she herself has said she is clinically depressed so a different mood is to be expected. But Polka seems to take people very seriously whether it be her coworkers, fans, or antis. I think she went with the Polka character with the intention of being funny and energetic all the time with the occasional slow moments. When she was a part of the early collabs, she would be loud and rambunctious so people would get annoyed at her and call her noisy. She seemed to really take those comments to heart as a lot of the early stuff has her saying she thinks she got a lot better about being less loud. She has weird chemistry with people too just by virtue of being a genuinely strange person. People will ask what she thinks of them and she'll scream and try to get away with saying nothing or doing something silly. It's like she's clingy but is self aware enough to think she might be bothering them so she tries to keep to herself. It makes her relationships with others odd. Even she initially turned down Flare's offer to be a Minecraft team only to be accepted later on a drunk stream. For better or worse, a lot of what helps promote Hololive channels overseas is their interactions with each other rather than individual content. Having a bizarre interaction is something but it's outside the norm of the usual sweetness or funny moments others have.
