It's a tradeoff, at the end of the day. Teru suffers from too many degenerates and containment breakers in her chat, Nunki suffers from too many spergs and cringelords. Xiulan and Shura's regulars are slightly better but they share a viewerbase with Nunki so those cringelords end up there (moreso Xiulan than Shura). Only AG member that has a decent chat is Misaki, which is probably because she hard filters the autists from here and streams in island burger hours so the other AG autists don't usually stay up for her.

From donations, subscribing (when they finally get monetized), etc. It's just way better to refrain most of the time from addressing chat by name. Terumi is an aging lady with a tough past she is very open about, trying her best to dig up and protect a small shard of happiness.

That's not exactly true. She used to run /aud/, which is now /asp/. She has connections with the people who come from /here/ and she's good enough to leverage those. For instance, she has a collab with Koopa Fortuna lined up next week, someone while not a big deal, is still quite a bit above her weight class. Because Terumi 1. is a really nice and charming woman and 2. used to run /aud/ leading to her befriending most of the /asp/ies that are here today.

Her being the hopeful isn't exactly a secret and it's not why people are infatuated with her.
