Thank god none of our streamers bit the fotm game Only Up. It looks so boring.
What games would you like to see your chuuba play? I'd love to see Sena play more VA-11 Hall-A, or see Raimi or Mixie play modded to hell Skyrim. When Abigill comes back maybe some Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on the 3DS, that's one of my favorite games of all time.

She's not quitting, man. She's just cancelling her donothon (that would last a week) halfway cause of those bad news and she can't focus. It's an understandable thing, you wouldn't be partying or gaming with the bros if you got very bad news.
She phrased the thing wrong on her twit and it can be read as her saying she can't stream for a full week, but she meant that she won't finish the weeklong donothon for the aforementioned reasons; though probably she won't be streaming for a week either way cause going to see family and mourning/worrying/taking care of stuff if someone died, got in a big accident or got a medical diagnosis of something.

I'm going to be honest. I don't particularly like the rebrand from Jubi/Stella. To be clear, I don't dislike the new design. I even think it's pretty cute. I also don't have an issue with her going off "le canon" because I think we've moved past that as a group seeing as Rrat is one of the core members currently. Most of my issues boil down to not liking re-naming herself. Jubi is someone who we've all come to enjoy and watch, especially those of us in the Jubicord. After over half a year with her of streams, discord watch-a-longs, etc, it would be hard not to. The name Jubi is important to, at least, me as a fan/viewer, and to see it entirely done away with just feels kind of weird. When vtubers rebrand under new names, it's typically to avoid NDA/copyright, bad associations with the name, or to get away from a bad situation. This is not, at least in my limited scope, one of those situations. Now if she had rebranded to a name close to "Jubi" or "Jubilee" (exp: Jeli, Rubi) that harkens back or pays homage to her roots and I would personally have no complaints and it would be a nice way to connect the two personas. There is just nothing currently that really bridges the old with the new. I'm probably the only one with some sort of weird attachment to names, but as it stands, I'm just kind of feeling off about it.

Also Jubi/Stella, I know you are /here/. This doesn't mean I will stop watching in the slightest. This is just airing some of my thoughts on the subject.

I think rebrands are perfectly fine if you can somehow justify the rebrand in-character in a way that furthers and/or offers closure to the old character while justifying the new character continuing on in their stead.
I don't have the slightest clue how you would justify the transition from Apple Elf to Donut Girl, but I'm sure you could definitely do it. Apple Fritters are a thing, after all.

It feels like a Twitch thing. A lot of twitch vtubers tend to change models radically, and they have more "username" names (eg trickyw) so model and character doesn't matter as much as person behind it. Maybe that's why it feels weird to me since I came from Hololive and Phase which doesn't go as radical.

People really undersell the difference between YouTube and Twitch culture a lot. Like, there is an obvious difference in not just chat interaction or how you go about stuff, but even some little things have differences when you look deeper. It's one of the reasons I think the two will always clash to an extent, they've evolved differently from each other so much that trying to put the too together will just show the differences more.

I get not wanting change but sometimes it happens anyway.
I'd rather people have consistency as much as possible but some changes can be good too, I think some balance is the best.
If you gotta make a change make sure it's worth it and take it seriously. I don't think she took this lightly so if she came to the conclusion that she had to go through with it I think she deserves the benefit of the doubt here and hope she really does much better now.
The new character is very nice too so I don't consider it a downgrade tho it's definitely a significant change and there are losses.

But there will be things vtubers do that resemble wrestling. Think of it like convergent evolution, the similarities in how both work would lead people to adapt in similar ways.
Rebranding or changing character for instance is just one of those cases.
