Adblockers are going to update to avoid being detected, and/or people will create extensions or scripts to fool adblock detectors. Stuff like that has existed for a long time, I don't know if any of it works on youtube's detection method though. Either way it's just gonna turn into an arms race.

It's almost exclusively desktop users who can even install adblock, which is a pretty small portion of the youtube userbase, and of those who use adblock, the vast majority are bothered enough by ads that they will spend time figuring out how to work around the adblockblocker. Even those who put up with it were unlikely to actually click any ads. Youtube is trying to get a fraction of a fraction of their userbase to pay a few dollars for premium--even if this works, it's unlikely to increase profit margins in any noticeable manner. Of course, the solution is to not be wedded to anything the account provides. You can definitely build an application to provide nearly everything youtube does including subscriptions and playlists without needing an actual account on the platform.
