I'm sure a lot of anons dream of becoming a Vtuber. (I literally had a dream a few days ago where I was one and I...was staying in Japan with my oshi)
But as that anon says, you'd likely need to have some proper experience in streams, and if not, demonstrate that you're a force of personality during interviews in whatever direction your character would go. But if you do decide to some day audition, I wish you luck!

Slightly, although they look really really yellow, less unhygienic and more glowing, so putting it down to him doing some weird spooky stuff involving his mouth. Don't dwell on what that might be.
Also, just want to say I love his starting stream screen. I like all the little effects and the camera lens filter, but it's mainly his big goofy head filling the screen and his adorable smile.

I don't unfortunately. I have to rely on clips and LiveTL like an EOP. Although I like having zatsudan streams on in the background sometimes while doing stuff. Other times is just that I find the Vtuber's voice nice to listen to.
You're spot on though, his voice does have a really happy and cheerful energy to it. Touya is someone I really need to check out more.

This. I'm sure all of us would love to get to meet or at least talk to our oshi, and I think it would be pretty damn cute moment if you had an EN streamer get excited/nervous before a collab. But it should be because they enjoy both vtubing and streaming in general that they do it. They're expecting at least a year of content from you, if your heart isn't in it, that'll be rough.
Note: If I was one, and I was to collab with my oshi, I would 100% do a prestream before joining the vc where I'd have my IT'S HAPPENING moment. Or perhaps leave that to the end when my oshi leaves the vc, then just absolutely explode and get hype with chat.

Out of all the boys I have membership for, Kanae is the most consistent in terms of actually posting anything (Fuwa posts almost nothing but w/e take my money) but his unfiltered singing is honestly... uhh... pretty bad. So it depend on if you like Kanae enough to think his unfortunate singing and babubabu noises an hour or so a couple times a month are worth the $4.99.

He does occasionally do ASMR streams too, though, in which he'll pet you under your chin and let you listen to his heartbeat. Which I would pay a pathetic amount of money for so there's that.

i'm not a member of kenmochi's channel so i can't vouch for his content, but of the four i'm subbed to:

kanae: (endearingly bad) karaoke streams, occasional asmr/zatsudan, five member-only posts in the last month and he also said recently he intends on making all his old vods that're 6+ hours members-only
fuwa: generally hour-long zatsudan, did one singing stream, posts about once a month
akina: singing streams, depends heavily on how moody he's being because he tends to hide behind mengen when he's anxious about streaming so sometimes he'll post four times in a couple weeks and other times once a month

Here are the two I have:

Kanda: Almost nothing; he'll occasionally remember his membership and do a long mengen stream, maybe once every 3/4 months. But he used to do them often, archives are there.
Mashiro: Even less; one mengen stream ever, one or two posts ever. Sometimes makes archives mengen. Cool stamps.

I don't really expect anything in a membership other than stamps/badges, so this is totally fine with me. Plus both have done more than Kuku.

i think the amount of women who watch vtubers has also increased recently in general. it used to be super associated with idol otaku but the more nijisanji pushes people like kuzuha, kenmochi, kanae, etc. equally as the face of the company the more women seem to realize there's something in it for them (though i do think a lot of some of the girls get pretty high female viewership as well).

i feel like he wouldn't go through all this trouble just to announce graduation. it's probably either that he's too busy with his actual real-life job and is thus stalling with clip vods and interesting lore behind the scenes, or whatever was wrong with his throat directly before his hiatus was more of an issue than expected so he can't stream daily and so this is what we're getting instead.
