EN support developed primarily through weeb+translations, and occasional ENfeeding by JP talent.

The major issue with Hololive I see at the moment, ignoring the rrats (which are real) is their lack of development of Holostars. Femweebs gays and fujos exist, why aren't they targeting the demographics?

HoloIN is having the exact same issue - they need to develop the Indonesian market.

Ollie ranting because her position was largely to develop that market with cross-popularity through trilingualism (collabs) is a major pain. Her rrats are an issue, but only in the sense that she'll get fired if they keep happening or get much worse. The bigger problem than that is the lack of increasing their generations and collabs with other popular Holos.

So ultimately it's not so much Ollie I'm worried about (though I hope she does well despite getting fingered on stream and racecucking), it's all of HoloID when she rants at them.

Compare her rants with other Holos and you'll realize that's cow(read: chicken) behavior.

Rabbit? It's engaging and joking.
Cutting Board? It's a shtick.
Onion? It's never against the viewer and always in jest.
Rapist? It's likely an elite running gag that went too far like twice.
Pirate? It's almost entirely relatable stories.

Their rants are actually positive for vtubing, and why they're industry leaders/market developers.

Market Developers always win out because they get the "I'm important first" advantage.

So if she could actually develop indonesia so we can keep getting vtubing more popular and don't have to deal with pinkwhorecat and Brownguy/Karen coming back.

I am very much not a fan of Chicken because she lets her personal drama and politics leak too much into her streams. Same with Pink and Yellow. Shark is easily the only amazing one of the bunch and Ink is a good/average vtuber and I have nothing against her.

But Yellow and Orange are very political to the point it shows in an ugly way, and Pink is only interested insofar as how to get the Dice more popular in the future or save her own IRL ass, it's immersion-breaking to hear a deepvoiced eighth-grade white girl with blonde hair voice stammer like "I have no Idea what a key-mo-chee is, is that like a macaroon?"

I only developed that vibe about them over time and really wanted them to do well. Picking up Sen and making her Shark was a great move, the rest were either average or actually bad choices from a market development perspective.

Like think about what Hololive has as a brand that makes it the leader - it feels like a professional quality of production behind genuine talents. Ame, Kiara, and Callie do NOT seem like honest talents.

It's that exact same vibe I get with Ollie when I hear her rant like this. That's what the issue is I have at a personal level, but I'm afraid I'm not alone in the feeling, and that most people who watch will think "oh shit Ollie/AZKi/Kiara/Ame/Calli in the collab, maybe I'll skip it unless someone says it was worth watching."

I really hope I'm wrong, but it kinda shows when you look at metrics. The only reason Calli was popular I think was her first song and model's momentum, and the constant collabs and EN market's tendency to sub to everyone in a collab to support their oshi.

But Indonsian fans don't normally do this, neither do JP, and EN won't do this for non-EN typically, look at shark and knife collab, the bump up was marginal. Cover really needs to look at developing ID market and filtering EN better or we're going to get more Chickens and Zombies and a good model isn't gonna fix everything.

I think the problem with the ID market is that it's too poor to sustain full time streamers. Hana Macchia is the biggest non-Holo ID streamer (there might be some male that's bigger but she's the biggest female) and she only gets like 500-700 per stream. Moona was only getting like 700 before the Pekora arc took off. Risu and Iofi still get sub 1000 regularly. You can't force a market just by existing, Cover basically concede this by hiring people for Gen 2 that can speak excellent English (and Anya who is still pretty good even with the heavy accent).

I'm trying to say that vtubing is a medium that can reflect a whole of culture, which is why Japan does really well with it and the other talents are lagging. There's plenty of positives of ID culture that could be expressed through vtubing instead of just shitposting in chat, and they've gotta work on it if they're gonna get to good sub and view counts.

HoloJP is weird in the sense that they're split across platforms for distribution, so their numbers added up still outweigh the contributions EN gives, despite the higher subcounts on a lot of EN channels, plus Kiara's fans give me the duplicate-sub vibe after all her crying about low sub numbers, kinda like Akirose.

Developing the market and community guidelines and enforcing them is going to be different in every market, english and japan all have their own flavors of stupid too.
