this isn't a place of love, it's a place of shitposts and drama. There really isn't much you can do with pikamee in that regard (outside of making lolicon jokes or dredging up the magnet stuff which doesn't really tie into her anyway) so people just don't talk much.
I mean personally I used to like her stuff to a degree but I was already kinda in and out from time to time but after everything with Monoe I kinda lost interest in VOMS as a whole. Tried to stick around for a while but when I noticed I was less and less willing to watch streams of games I wasn't already a huge fan of I could tell it was over for me. Eventually I wasn't even watching the zatsudans and that's when I finally just unsubbed. A shame since it's not like she did anything wrong personally.

Radically redesigning any chuuba is going to be divisive. It's not like the idea of it is bad or even that it visually looks bad. She just looks too fucking different, she went from looking like an approximate anime girl to a saturday morning cartoon character. It doesn't look like Pikamee in a monster hoodie, it looks like an utter stranger. With her antennae covered up it would actually have been possible to show me this pic last year, ask me "is this Pikamee" and I'd say "no but it looks like a relative of her, or maybe a bad knockoff."

Sciolist. She and VOMS overall were popular here before the West even knew of them. The first time I was linked to her was from /jp/ - in a stream where she had literally like 39 viewers. To be honest I didn't think much of her at the time back then either, not any more than you would take some random 3-10k sub indie today for granted. Pika was one of the most damn popular non-Holo chuubas here when EN started, people here were salivating for Pika collabs literally immediately.

The big drop off came from the double tap of Monoe and then the new designs. Even then a lot of people still like VOMS but any hype/hopes for them got dashed. Losing 33% of the talent in one go hurts so bad, with no closure as to what happened to this day, just suffering. Then Pika getting redesigned into basically a reinvention of the char, and tmsk looking like she got a bunch of gum in her hair and had to hack it all off. If Gyari didn't open up new auditions lately I would have been as gloomy about VOMS as ever and now there is a slight bit of optimism now.
