You must not have followed the whole saga Anon. Koro san did the whole story for SFV, she kept talking about how she liked Dictator. She got into the game so much she bought an arcade stick.

After that whenever they had news about SF6 she will talk about it on stream.
And now we're at the point where she learned SFV before that she feels classic is the way that feels more natural for her.

As a Bison main since vanilla SF4, I'd say Honda is the most Dictator like in 6. You'd think it was JP with his psycho powers, but he plays nothing like Bison (keepaway, not charge, looks like a faggot)

Meanwhile, Honda's headbutt has been buffed to + frames making it better than vanilla lk scissor kick. His butt stomp covers enough of the screen to mimic headstomp, but there's no equivalent to Bison's devil reversal mixup. Ex Headbutt is minus on block but has invincibility and armor, similar to ex Psycho Crusher. Hands has been simplified to a fireball motion, similar to Psycho Inferno and achieves the same purpose as a combo finisher or cancel to super.

I think regardless of play skill it's more important to not let your frustration show too much and ruin the mood. Games can be hard definitely, but the chuuba that shrugs off being bad and laughs it off is far easier to watch than the one that starts legit cursing and gets snappy at viewers.

I don't mind shitters as long as they remain entertaining and humble, it's no fun watching somebody get depressed or salty because they're new and bad.
If they actually strive to improve, then that's the ideal experience imo.

That been said, I was watching a literal 1view who's just slightly above my skill range, cheering for her in chat felt nice and her skill level being above average made matches not a boring slop but actually tense and enjoyable to watch by themselves.

Man, Idol Showdown's singleplayer mode is extremely buggy. You'd be hard pressed to make it through a single run without something going very wroing and the characters freezing in place somehow. I think I've done it around 20 times now and I always get at least one bug.

I am REALLY enjoying Korosan's SF6 streams. Especially the training ones.
I'm usually not into the trend of "hey let's watch these absolute beginners struggle at fighting games" cause watching shitters just make me mald. But Korone definitely does not fall into this category.
Just from the combos she has learned by herself off stream and the fact she is using classic on an actual stick shows she has real interest in the genre.
The fact that she picked up on JP's general gameplan and was using his good buttons uncoached was cool to watch.
It is also interesting watching her growth along side Karubi. They are almost complete opposites.
Zoner vs Closeup Armour Bully. Modern vs Classic. Even their priorities and style is different. Korosan focuses on execution, combos and overall wants to style on her opponents, sometimes to her detriment, while Karubi's sessions with Shuto seems focused on the fundamentals in order to win.
Korosan vs Karubi was also interesting cause they are both at the stage where they still have significant holes in their game but have areas they excel at. This is the sort of natural differences in players that develop into distinct playstyles as they get better. At the moment Karubi is probably better but Korosan seems to have more potential down the road as she seems to already be aiming higher in terms of optimization and wanting to acquire match up knowledge. She is focusing on stuff that would only bear fruit further down the line.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Training specifically for the matchup + modern controls is a huge factor at that skill level. Assuming Botan passes the JP knowledge check and baits out the reversal that Korone likes to use, there is guarantee damage for Botan with modern auto combos while Korone would have to actually execute to cash out on any opening she creates.
I think Korone still takes it, but I don't think it's a forgone conclusion.
