This song is kind of traumatic to me because the collab with AZKi and the release of the song were the first and only thing Kanata did between the 5ch thing and the management meetings break. Those were really really bad times. It's still a beautiful song regardless, and even more beautiful if you look at the lyrics and think about what Kanata might have been going through at the moment.

That was really a low point, right after the August incidents too. The song was in the works since Spring that year so it was just a sad timing, the song itself was majestic and it helped dealing with frustration during those days. The one that actually was foreboding was the Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, the one on the unarchived utawaku, before the getsuyoru announcement.

The baseline for her member's content is one zatsudan per month. Aside from that she has bursts of activity that can be anything from livewatches, ASMR and singing streams to just community posts. I'm not a member of many holos, but I think Kanata is neither one of the most active nor one of the most inactive. She was trying to increase the frequency of member streams recently, and to a degree they have increased, specially during her Uma Musume livewatch when she was streaming more than once a week, but she hasn't quite reached the stable weekly stream she was aiming for. Maybe after Coco graduates and a lot of things settle down they might increase.

So as my loneliness increases with passing time Kanata just inhabits my mind. I've been trying to find ways to cope and I think I accidentally made it worse. One thing I think about is her grip strength. She's constantly touting it and proud of it. Several weeks ago I got a grip trainer in desperation; the idea was to train my left (non-dominant) hand until I was able to exert 50kg which wasn't too hard all for a youthful male like me. August to October of last year was basically just an endless series of life shitting on Kanata directly or indirectly.

A "brief" summary:
There was an troubling incident when she was moving out.
There was the Aloe graduation that, based on the leaks on Kanata's Fall Guys stream, Kanata was affected by and thus involved herself in the recourse.
There were two separate reports on her hearing getting incrementally worse.
She was returning home her from her first real concert (the VARK Live) when Coco got suspended for showing Youtube metrics on her screen, kicking off part of the result we're currently in.
She basically stopped streaming for a couple weeks while saying she wanted to stream, then at the end gave some nebulous answers about it being because she wanted to take a break and was talking to management about taking a break... for the duration of the break she wanted.
Then she got hit by a car and was in the hospital for two weeks.
There was also an unsubstantiated 5ch incident that was... probably... just some asshole with lucky post timing and copying the way she used to write. But that was left in the past, even if it was her.

There were a lot of things.
Up until we learned about Coco graduating, this year was just so enormously better for Kanata that I was so happy for her, and she very clearly was and is giving everything she has to make it that way. She's even doing her best during these current times. More than her best?

It is still the best possible outcome. Coco gets to keep Kanata, Holohouse, all her Hololive contacts, her archives, her status as an OG, all her friends who can visit her at any time, and most importantly her sanity. We are missing out on so much content I still can't believe it but I have to begrudgingly admit it could've been so, so much worse in so many ways. Maybe it's just my way to cope but I find solace in Coco's hopes to return and in Kanata's faith in her.

She is definitely going out of her way to continue delivering fun streams and I'm really proud of her. She could've easily gone on a break because of Coco and nobody would've said a thing but she's fighting. It is still an amazing year for Kanata performance-wise and I don't believe Coco's graduation is going to slow her down in that regard.

I'm probably overthinking things and losing the plot, but I've found reason to be optimistic lately. If Coco's leaving because she couldn't make the content she wants to make, I'd imagine she'll get to doing that before too long after graduating, in some form old or new and basically everyone who cares will find her on day one.

This might get more naive but if the circumstances around the graduation are as relatively professional as they seem to be, I don't see why her next project couldn't collab with hololives, considering the Pikamee/Nyanners collabs of late etc. I'm not trying to pretend things will feel normal in a month or three or even longer, but I've just been so fixated on this loss (which like you said is the best positive outcome) that I'm forcing positivity and thinking about the good times ahead. We wouldn't care this much if it wasn't so damn fun.

Yeah, sorry I didn't mention more, I basically only use /vt/ for this thread but I remember reading (maybe I read this a long time ago) that alternative information was often bannable so I was very vague about it. I guess that's in the past though, since people were freely discussing Coco's future and the other channels she uses.
It really has to be included in talking about the bullshit Kanata went through last year though. I remembering thinking at the time "well that was awful, but at least it's over and she's safe with Coco now". Little did I fucking know.

It's actually a bit amazing how recently so many people have dropped all pretenses of separating the two sides of a Holo. Many of Coco's biggest fans just blatantly follow and comment on both, and Kanata's other twitter has slowly been becoming like that for some time, though a lot of them use second accounts with comically-disguised names or icons. Not really surprising in Kanata's case though, since many of her tweets have a dual function as fanservice for heimin.

And like someone else mentioned, it's definitely worth listening to her older music.
If you were ever worried about finding something out while digging that would be distasteful, you won't. Kanata is basically Kanata.
