Cover released a male gen while everyone was asking for a third female EN gen, and then started forcing the girls to do collabs with them to boost their numbers. It didn't work, obviously, and also killed the interest of a bunch of people on EN as well as Gura's motivation.
Six months later, instead of trying to correct this with more EN girls, they go and release a second male generation. The fan reaction was so bad that they had to lock the official reddit.
