I feel like people don't appreciate how much an illness can fuck you up. I used to have a pretty good falsetto. Then I caught a flu and strep throat back to back. Even after being better I had this weird lingering cough for a month, and even after that went away, I can't sing as high as I used to. Or if I can it's really breathy and weak.
