Scarle probably has the most appeal to the typical viewer here in NijiEN since the likes of Elira, Pomu, Rosemi and Selen. She's kind of like Coco was in some respects, you know when people used to say hololive is like hostess clubs or whatever. She spends most of her time concentrating on talking with her chat and responding to superchats to the extent that it drives away people who are interested in seeing them actually play the game, in boredom and frustration or whatever, more so than getting attention from an anime girl.

Depends on your definition of "flop."
Most of them have a very small but very dedicated fanbase who send them a lot of superchat and streamlabs revenue, like ridiculous amount in proportion to their CCV, but that doesn't really translate to the merch side. A Scarling might superchat 10x as much per month as a Briskadet or Dragoon, but he's still probably buying at most 1 of each merch item. So they're doing alright for themselves, but from the point of view of the company yeah they're flops.
