My biggest disappointment is the absolute state of current NijiEN after the god-tier 6 months of lazusidya.
There's also a very personal one: there was a tomboy 2view I followed that graduated, she loved jrpgs, was a nice singer and artist. Decided to follow her roommate and she was a very different person, a nonbinary nijisister. I was very upset that I didn't realize sooner.. It soured that half a year she was my oshi.

She's talented but self sabotages a lot of her own stuff without realizing it. Back when I followed her she complained about having low CCV but I would wake up to find out she streamed at like 12-4am for no reason other than shitty sleep schedule. She would also freak out in her discord over stuff most people wouldn't notice if she didn't bring it up like discord drama or get into beefs with literal who's in her discord. Eventually I just stopped discord hopping to her newer severs. I used to watch holo + indies only, I've only ever heard of niji when their 3rd gen was announced. I checked out the designs and I immediately liked Enna's, mainly because it's a loli and it's cute.
Fast forward to their debut, I was highly anticipating greatness. The voice reveal did throw me off at first but I pushed through and gave her a chance. I liked the extremely crude humor, to me it's quite unheard of in terms of vtubers. At this point I got used to the voice. I also loved the singing, I checked PL leaks and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I've already been following her long ago. Definitely made me like her more. I liked the anti-social jokes, I liked the virgin jokes, I liked the kill myself jokes, all because it was funnily relatable.
It all went downhill when she started collabing with people. Sure, some of her best moments were in those streams, but one collab partner soured me in particular. It's yellow pogman. To me, this is where the flirting began. And I didn't like that. I watched her less and less until I found myself clicking on the unsubscribe button.
When I saw the collab where she and the wigger held hands, I felt pissed off and convinced myself to not care only a few minutes after. Now I totally don't give a fuck anymore and even want her gone after knowing she's genuinely a shitty person beyond the realm of jokes.
I'd like to say wasted potential, but she was fated to go down this path with the kind of person she is. I even sometimes rewatch some of her older streams when I find myself doing nothing in my free time.

I think the whole streaming on bilibili thing likely fucked over what was left because for a long time she prioritised that over Twitch which probably soured a lot of people. She had a group with a few other names and none of them are really relevant now. Harune graduated earlier in the year and Yuikai is only getting views on twitter because she puts up cosplay gravure now. Once you do bilibili you never regain what you lost.

Moe sure has a lot of subscribers but most of them are dead and likely watching hololive these days. Pippa had the potential to become one of the most influential and significant people in vtubing, and especially in western vtubing. Which of her streams are "GFE"? She didn't have a Valentine's stream this year, just a regular casual zatsu stream. If you think she's not doing educational streams because she mentions her "husband" once a month or gives the chat a kiss at the end of most streams, then you don't really watch her much. Personally, I wish she embraced those aspects more, but anonymous commenters made her self-conscious.
