Something I've noticed with male fleshtubers is that the minute they quit their dayjobs and become fulltime streamers they lose the charm that initially drew people to them in the first place and they become homo(lel)genized and generic, the stereotypical streamer, same as the rest.

And I think that has to do with the fact men are attractive less for who they are and more for what they do. If they go out, work, meet people, do stuff and have stories to tell that's inherently interesting and even attractive. While a dude who stays home in front of his computer all day talking to his imaginary discord friends and playing vidya is kinda repulsive.

A good chunk of male streamers are guys who are already famous and succesful outside of streaming and they just stream as a hobby on the side. Actors do it, athletes do it, musicians do it.

I'm going to become the best male Vtuber ever. I will stream 1 game for a couple hours every other day and I wont put any effort into social media or being idol like. But during those I want to make an atmosphere where people can have fun. I feel that's what's missing in a lot of online communities I visit. I think for people like me who can be a bit outside of what's acceptable it's hard to find a place where you can be yourself. The more I think about streamers I feel they're closer to club owners than strictly entertainers. I think it's the social aspect of being able to interact with chat and people talking amongst themselves leads me to that definition.
