Small corpo are very fragile.
You can shit on your audience of 20k and still do fine with just 5k like Kronii, but ruining your 200 audience can leave you with just 80.
Also the type of people small corpo attracts are more nit picky than regular.
Big corpo fans are like sports fans, they go to the same bar, order the same mainstream brant beer, watch the same big league teams. It's very hard to change their routine.
But small corpo fans filter through tons small vtubers and hand pick the ones they want specifically.
Big vtubers have "chat" and any member of the chat is just an emote spamming retard. But on a small corpo stream they can actually recognize people and that is part of their appeal. It's a more familiar experience.

So now put it all together, you have an audience that nitpicks more what they commit to, has a bigger spectrum of options and you fuck thing sup badly with them. Yeah, they'll leave. And they'll wait for the next small corpo that comes along to see if they find a girl they stick with.

EIEN had one of the best debuts I've ever seen.
It's a small corpo with 0 brand name or experience, 0 marketing. And it arrived to an already hyper saturated market and right off the bat it had numbers comparable to the two biggest small corpos. That is absolutely insane.
And they wasted it all. It's a real shit show and a very sad story to be honest.
Rifu was a mixed bag, she was working very hard, she was very talented and she managed some big success during her short run. But she went full retard and fucked up. Kiki on the other hand was just an average vtuber with some charm, and she also fucked up incredibly badly.
The corpo is now left with just 2 talents. One of them is good but not anything attention grabbing, the other one is fairly standard.
I don't think it will ever recover from that. They should just pack up and go indie.
I feel bad for the founder and investors but even if they debuted more girls I don't think they will achieve the same overnight success and hit the 300's anymore. The corpo is now poisoned and it will remain 2 view.
