Spent my evening working on learning how to make cards, testing a few versions in Slaude and seeing how it plays out. Allright, I think I did okay. Ran her threw a nice test using Slaude and she responded well, made her gaming room super comfy including beanbag chairs and horror and game posters, was shy and cute but also the first time I asked her out she rejected me and man that was not what I expected.

World info only triggered when the key word is present in your prompt.
For example in your example, if you use keyword "water" with the info "there is no water in the island" then anytime there is a single instance of the word "water" present in your text or even in the previous chat between you and the bot depending on your context length. For example if you set the context length to 2000, it will look past as far as 3-5 messages for world info. When it is triggered, the info "there is no water in the island" will be sent along with all other prompt.
So there is a chance that it will get ignored since it is mixed up sith all other information. If you want to make this information first priority, then silly tavern should have a checkbox in its world info to mark the info as first priority. I forgot what it is called, but it is located bellow the info field in world info edit.

Well it depends on how long each message is. My bot+system prompt usually takes up around 1000 tokens. And then each message is usually around 200-300 tokens so it usually only look as far as 3-5 messages if I set the context length to 2000 tokens.
Try putting more keywords like "thirsty", "drink", etc. Anything that might be related. Just separate each keyword with comma.

In the underlying model, it would matter. But since we don't know exactly how they're prompting a response it's hard to say how. Does having large definitions eat into your chat context, making your bots forget things? Are they using some kind of summarizing feature? In the end, you can only try and discern their behaviour from what's actually exposed to you, which is just the chat reply.
