>Merch cut in hololive: 50%
>Merch cut in nijisanji: 1%
Why is the difference so big? This is extremely unfair with the niji members. Hololive members should earn less so nijis wouldnt feel so bad

Hololive isn't lead by a sociopath

Seeing hime is enough to convince me that hololive is better than nijisanji.

Keison knows what she is talking about as a indie vtuber who enjoys talent freedom she knows how weebs think.
So I am pretty sure she is talking about profit share in general, while the drama faggot referred to the total sales share. And his only source for this is apparently Mysta.

Short answer: not the same business model. Just count the number of vtubers each company has.

50% seems pretty damn fair for the sales of a product that other people worked on

>> No.49168186

I don't know the source (old comment I read) but I think one of the reasons why talents in hololive gets a bigger cut is because they pay part of the manufacturing cost.

>> No.49168342

>>49168164
Imagine how much the manufacturer and the logistic earn. No wonder the Chinese hated Coco when they had to produce her butt plugs.

>> No.49168346

>>49168164
Agreed. 50% is fair considering the product has no consumer value without the vtuber it represents.

The vtuber that was created and is owned by the company. You think they would sell merch without a blue dorito on it?

Is kson talking about vshojo or hololive?
just asking
wait does vshojo have merch?

>> No.49168542

>>49168164
Seriously, this is why holomems like shion, aqua, ayame and gura are able to treat streaming as hobby.

The existence and proliferation of bootleg merch says absolutely yes

>I used to be biching
Past tense phrase, she's referring to hololive

>> No.49168714

Idk man she's shit talked her own vshojo contract some few days ago. But good.

>> No.49168920

I believe that it is the person behind the model that gives the merchandise value. If people just wanted a cool anime sticker on a piece of plastic they wouldn't be paying $11.11 for it.
>You think they would sell merch without a blue dorito on it?
Sorry, I genuinely don't understand what you mean by this, can you rephrase? Did you mean "would people buy merchandise if it wasn't official?" Because yes, people do that all the time. Alibaba is filled with bootleg shit for popular vtubers from all major companies.

>>49168516
Vshojo does have merch. We don't really know which she is referring to, but either way 50% should be the lowest number she was offered between hololive and vshojo. If she had been getting less from one of them she would have used that number instead. You could say she used to bitch about hololive and then vshojo gave her a better deal; Or you could say she was bitching about vshojo because hololive used to give her a better deal. Either way 50% should be the minimum for her to make that complaint.
