HoloEN created EN vtubing as we know it (idgaf if Ironmouse was around before then, no one in EN was relevant until HoloEN showed up). There weren’t any examples to choose from, and even though they did a decent job recruiting Myth, all things considered (they were solid through most of their first year), HoloEN clearly didn’t make big enough of a splash to impact the rest of the EN vtubing scene.
It all comes down to reps. Only a small minority of western weebs, including vtubers (that’s under the assumption that all EN vtubers are weebs, which isn’t even true), have done their reps. So they can’t properly learn from JP even if they wanted to.
I suppose it hasn’t helped that the two HoloEN members who try the hardest to emulate JP, Kiara and Bae, have other flaws that filter viewers and make them less likely to want to watch their streams.

Holos are incredibly insulated from yabs. They exist in a weird system that people are invested in and even people like fauna get massive amounts of attention from people that like the brand. Like even after her yabs and numbers, mori had the top album on the hiphop section of the apple store and spotify plays, and still has a core group of simps. Kronii never wanted to be a numberfag either. If we consider them idols, then both are reaching for their goals without being hurt much or even benefiting from the yabs.

it's weird how scorched earth people here have gone on mori because if you actually watch mori streams she's usually the one pushing gachikoi type content the most. she was behind the big valentine's day push this year for example, which i think most people agree was pretty good as far as that kind of content goes. meanwhile kiara is the one who has been most vocal and clear about boundaries with fans since the very beginning (though some of the worst gachis i've encountered are kfp).
