This is a thread about fubuki. Is fubuki going to do it? Is Cover at fault here? will she cuck herself and us by obediently letting coco be graduated? is there some non issue private reason coco would graduate? It really seems like her entire fanbase would entirely back her if she had personal reasons for leaving. In that instance wouldnt the best thing to do be to announce it on stream with a decent ammount of information?

Fubuki literally collabed with Coco today.

The truth is actually as Coco said. Various things played a part: Chink harassment, that harassment spilling over to others as well even 9 months after the yab, Cover wanting more creative control to prevent controversy, Kanata and Coco marriage preprations. Cover would have prevented it if they had responded stronger as it happened, if they never tried to "let things down" but as a Japanese company they just did not have the balls to put out a statement saying that what Coco did was not a mistake and that people that don't like that can go. There would have been a bigger storm but that harassment would have been spread across more and more people where it would have eventually evaporated.
Add to that that Covers support system is known to be horrible with holo mem being forced to rely on each other and no one else and you got the perfect combination for getting your talent burn out.

I would personally do it because the money is immaterial, being an indispensable manager-sama who controls and elevates the idols would give me personal connections a salary couldn't buy. If I had any presence in hololive whatsoever, and coco wanted to do that, I would leave it immediately to support that decision and help her plan to make it work. You have to think more like a company owner than a wage slave to do this kind of thing though, and I'm just not certain if coco or anyone on /vt/ understands this way of thinking. Rich people never make their money on wages anyway. It's all from investment. and the way you make good investments is from having a team. Coco could have a team right now that money couldn't buy in that position and I would in her shoes immediately make the sacrifice for it. But only if I could be recognized by others and the talent as coco who did so.

Even if we had to drop the coco label for media reasons, I would invent and incorporate a new persona Mysterious Dragon K or C or something. I would make a spectacle of it. It's modern thinking I think, something most of the middle management at cover can't really understand. They are tied down by conventional thinking, which has its strong points, but vtubing is not a conventional industry, it's a hybrid of entertainment and advertisement.

Immortalizing myself as the savior of vtubers from the zhang, inventing memes to perpetuate it, it would all flow naturally.

Some people criticizing Fubuki are having a genuine emotional reaction. Things are bad, they expected Fubuki to react a certain way, she didn't and that's frustrating.
Others are simply dramafags and general vtuber antis. They latch onto the biggest name they can insinuate is a fuck up at the moment and milk it for all the attention it's worth.
But whenever you see a post hating Fubuki, calling her spineless, or greedy, or a hypocrite, just remember who, exactly, has the most interest in discrediting her. Who still has a grudge against her for turning her back on them (as if she was ever on their side) and siding with her FRIEND, Coco. Who has been known to use this board to attempt and sway opinions in the west, especially recently within this hobby.

This is the dumbest thing, and what always gets me. Many smaller independent streamers can afford to pay for a couple mods, even. And those tend to stream multiple times weekly. Not everyone, sure, but you'd think of some of them can manage it without the misc revenue from merch and contract deals that Cover has at it's disposal, then an actual corporation that take a huge cut of their earnings could.
