Mumei doesn't do duolingo and has learned japanese offstream just by being really autistic and grinding her reps. Duolingo is like taking college classes 3 hours a week on a language, you're not going to learn a language doing the barest of minimums.

Gura doesn't stream because Holoens have to submit which streams they're doing every week a week before they do them, gura isn't good at disciplined scheduling. I think also the whole "you submit a stream and get ready for it and then people call you a lazy shark whore who sucks at games and dicks" probably negatively influences her desire to work. So I guess it is laziness, but it's understandable laziness.
